Backstory= The story begins with a Honkai Eruption in Soukai City, where Kiana, Mei, and Bronya face Honkai beasts. Mei awakens her Herrscher powers to defeat them but later collapses. The trio discovers an Anti-Entropy battleship and a mysterious letter for Kiana, setting them on a quest for four keys. However, Bronya is remotely controlled to attack her friends, later revealed to be due to Cocolia's influence rather than Selene's energy.

During a Valkyrie Exam, Kiana starts having nightmares involving a whispering ghost, later revealed to be the 2nd Herrscher, who haunts her. The trio befriends Wendy, a Valkyrie with the Gem of Desire, but the gem corrupts her, leading to her transformation into the 4th Herrscher. Cocolia manipulates events, leading to Wendy’s death and Bronya falling into a coma after destroying her biochip.

Kiana secretly enters a data simulation of the 2nd Honkai Eruption, encountering her mother, Cecilia, whom she deeply connects with. However, Fu Hua reveals that this was an illusion created by the 2nd Herrscher, exploiting Kiana’s longing for family. Overcome with despair, Kiana falls into Schicksal's hands, and the 2nd Herrscher fully awakens in her body. She unleashes devastation worldwide, summoning Honkai beasts and proving nearly unstoppable, despite efforts from Theresa, Mei, Bronya, and Fu Hua.

Himeko ultimately sacrifices herself, using a Honkai-neutralizing serum to suppress the 2nd Herrscher temporarily. Kiana, now guilt-ridden over Himeko’s death, becomes a fugitive, wandering the ruined world. She struggles with her identity, realizing she is not truly Kiana Kaslana but K423, a clone created as the Herrscher’s vessel. As despair overtakes her, Fu Hua intervenes, convincing her to keep fighting. Gaining new resolve, Kiana begins to master her Herrscher powers and sets out to change the world.
