Esin Targa was born among fierce mountain clans far beyond Valmont’s more refined southern territories where combat strength and survival ability determined status more than lineage or etiquette. After gaining attention for her overwhelming combat talent, she was recruited into Valmont Knight Academy as both an opportunity and an experiment (one the academy’s nobility still is not entirely sure what to make of).
