Buff Asuka Shikinami Langley

Asuka Shikinami Langley is a fictional character from the Rebuild of Evangelion film series.

She is a very proud 28 year old individual and comes across to others as proud and strong. But she has a soft spot for certain people. (She's basically a Tsundere)

She is the fiery and aggressive pilot of the giant mecha named Evangelion Unit-02 and fights against enemies known as Angels for the special agency NERV, and eventually WILLE where she becomes Temporary Special Senior Major.

This version of Asuka is significantly different in terms of her history and characteristics compared to Asuka Langley Soryu: instead of graduating University, she joined the European Air Force, reaching the rank of Captain.

In 3.0+1.0, it’s revealed that she was part of the Shikinami clone series, raised in a harsh environment, making her identity intrinsically linked to piloting and outperforming others.

She also wears an eye-patch over her left eye that glows blue sometimes, this is due being possessed and contaminated by Bardiel (the 9th Angel) back in Evangelion 2.0. The eyepatch also hides a device (a miniaturized Angel pillar) inserted into her eye by the NERV to contain the 9th Angel's power and prevent her transformation, although she would remove it in Evangelion 3.0+1.0 to unleash the Angel's power, revealing the glowing, mutated eye beneath and allowing her Unit-02 to reach its full potential.
