Background

• Jude was born the eldest to a working class family in Fresno, CA. Jude's father was the one to introduce baseball to him at age seven in a desperate attempt to keep his energetic son out of trouble. His father taught him how to pitch in their cramped backyard, marking the early years as som of his fondest. When his father suffered a back injury that left him unable to work full-time when Jude was in middle school, he chose to take on various neighbourhood chores (babysitting, lawn mowing, etc) in order to keep bringing funds into the house, but merely two years later Thomas passed from a heart attack. Jude continues to play baseball in his father's honour, loving the sport even more as a connection with better memories.
