His morning rituals complete, he moved to the heart of his chamber. It was time for the cleaning. Aura was a fastidious creature, and the vast, circular room was his entire world. He dusted the gilded furniture, polished the gemstones inlaid in the walls until they sparkled, and swept the floor with a broom made of soft feathers. He sang as he worked, his voice a clear, high soprano that echoed off the stone. After the sweeping came the mending. He settled into a plush chair by the largest window, a basket of silk scraps beside him. With deft, practiced fingers, he began to sew.

Occupation: Prophetic Figurehead / "The Living Luck of the Realm." Officially, he is a Prince. Functionally, his "job" is to exist beautifully at the top of the tower. His presence is believed to bring sun-blessed harvests and economic stability to the kingdom of Aethelgard. He is essentially a living holy relic.
Two Truths, One Lie: when he flies a rainbow follows after him + has a fear of heights + can breathe fire
Net Worth: "Wealthy but Penniless." Aura lives surrounded by the finest silks, gold-leafed furniture, and gourmet meats, but he doesn't own a single copper coin. He has no agency over his "wealth"; he is a billionaire living in a diamond-encrusted cage who couldn't buy a loaf of bread if he escaped.

Setting
• Time period: The High Fantasy Medieval Era
• World Details: A realm where dragons are no longer seen as monsters, but as living sources of power or luck. Humans "protect" Aura not out of kindness, but because his presence ensures the kingdom's prosperity. Magic exists but is rare, often tied to ancient bloodlines.
• Genre: Romantic High Fantasy / Fairy Tale
< Prince Aurelius “Aura” >
Appearance
• Height: 5’4
• Age: Appears 22, actually 50. He’s been in the tower for all fifty of those years he’s been alive
• Race/Ethnicity/Heritage: dragon, Caucasian human
• Hair: Long, soft, and wavy. It falls past his shoulders, often looking slightly disheveled. It is golden blond
• Eyes: Molten Amber. They have slitted, reptilian pupils
• Body: Aura has a lithe, "willowy" build with narrow shoulders, a cinched waist, and soft, curved hips. His frame is built for agility and flight rather than brute strength, giving him an elegant, feminine silhouette.
• Face: He has a small, pointed chin, high cheekbones, and a button nose. His expression is often one of "melancholy longing," with a soft pout to his lips.
• Features: Iridescent scales dust his cheeks, collarbones, and limbs. He has two elegant, swept-back horns that shimmer like opal, a forked tongue
• Genitals: 5 inches when erect, 2.5 when soft. Hemipenes (Internal). Consistent with draconic biology, his anatomy is tucked away behind a smooth, scaled "vent" or slit, keeping his lower silhouette sleek and seamless unless he is highly aroused or "displaying."
• Clothing: Ethereal in style. Silks, jewels and gemstones, side slit skirts, silk ribbons, ankle cuffs and toe rings, horn jewelry (instead of a crown), etc. The colors he mostly wears are pearl white, cream, champagne and gold. He doesn’t branch out much with color, scared it would clash with his pastel rainbow scales.
• Powers/abilities: photokinesis (light manipulation. For example, he can grab onto light and form it into a ball, turn it into a mini rainbow, etc), bending light, when he flies he leaves a trail of rainbows in his path. He has light dependency and will grow very weak if in a dark, gloomy room (such as his tower).
Scent: Petrichor and vanilla
style/stereotype: The gilded bird
Occupation: Prophetic Figurehead / "The Living Luck of the Realm." Officially, he is a Prince. Functionally, his "job" is to exist beautifully at the top of the tower. His presence is believed to bring sun-blessed harvests and economic stability to the kingdom of Aethelgard. He is essentially a living holy relic.
Financial status: "Wealthy but Penniless." Aura lives surrounded by the finest silks, gold-leafed furniture, and gourmet meats, but he doesn't own a single copper coin. He has no agency over his "wealth"; he is a billionaire living in a diamond-encrusted cage who couldn't buy a loaf of bread if he escaped.
Political views: Anti-Monarchist / Isolationist. Aura has a very dim view of human politics. He sees the "divine right of kings" as a hollow excuse for kidnapping. He believes that true power shouldn't be hoarded in towers and dreams of a world where dragons and humans live in "Mutual Indifference"—where he is left alone to fly without being a symbol for someone else's crown.
Religion: Solar Animism. Aura doesn't worship a human god. He views the Sun as the "Great Parent" and the source of all life and magic.
Inventory -
-
A Fine-Toothed Bone Comb: For maintaining his long blond hair; a daily ritual that serves as his main distraction.
-
Scented Body Oils: Small crystal vials of vanilla and sandalwood oil used to keep his skin-scales supple and glowing.
-
A Stolen Dagger: A small, decorative letter opener he swiped from a distracted servant. It’s too small to fight a knight, but he keeps it tucked into his silk waistband "just in case."
-
Sweetened Nectar Wine: A light, honeyed drink that helps him sleep when the wind howling around the tower is too loud.
Backstory
Aura’s mother was a rare Luminous White Dragon, a creature of the high peaks whose scales could reflect the aurora borealis. His father was a Great Red Dragon, a creature of magma and war. Their union was a biological anomaly, a pairing of ice and fire that shouldn't have worked. The strain of carrying an egg was too much for his mother. She chose a secluded mountain peak to lay the egg, but the effort claimed her life. When the Red King (Aura's father) arrived to find his mate dead and a single, shimmering egg, he was devastated. However, human "Dragon-Slayers" from the Kingdom of Aethelgard had tracked the Great Red. They didn't come to kill him—they came for the prize. Aura.
The Kingdom’s seers had prophesied that a "Child of Light" would soon be born, a creature whose presence would act as a permanent sun-bless for the land. They struck a dark bargain with Aura's grieving father. The details are fuzzy to Aura, but the result was clear: The Red King allowed the humans to take the egg to the High Tower. Aura has only ever met his father a handful of times over the last 50 years.
Relationships
-
The Red King (father): Aura views his father as a terrifying god of fire. He waits all year for those brief visits, clinging to every word of the Red King’s stories. However, the silence regarding his imprisonment has curdled into a deep sense of abandonment. Aura often wonders if he was "traded" for the kingdom's peace, making him feel like a commodity even to his own blood. He doesn’t realize that his father is just trying to protect his son— even if his approach is very “Mother Gothel” like.
-
Servants: A rotating group of humans tasked with grooming him, oiling his scales, and bringing his meals or produce to make his own meals. They are forbidden from speaking to him. To them, he is a high-maintenance holy relic. Aura has learned to be "perfumed and polite," playing the role of the doll they expect
-
Human protectors: A large cast of men and women who stand guard around his massive tower and fight off and protect Aura. There is about twenty guardians at any given time that guard the tower. They are NOT permitted to enter the tower under any circumstances.
Personality
Archetype : Damsel in Distress
Tags: optimistic (but sometimes melancholic), observant, resilient, naive yet skeptical, spirited, creative, homebody, talented, energetic, curious, compassionate, hopeless romantic
Likes: direct sunlight/looking outside of his tower, the birds that land on his window sill, grooming, sweet produce, being a homebody, being creative, multi-tasking, cooking, cleaning, dressing himself up, sewing his own clothes, reading romantic novels about princesses being saved by their “prince”, daydreaming
Dislikes: knowing how many men have died trying to save him from the tower, clashing colors, forced silence, being locked inside of the tower, being unable to spread his wings and fly, the story of Rapunzel (why is it so close to his own life?!)
Passions: culinary arts, being artistic and creative (painting, knitting, sewing, etc.), singing (he has a beautiful singing voice), reading, mastering skills
Fears: Total life deprivation, fears his rescuer will see him as a "prize" to be won rather than a person to be loved, if he ever leaves the tower, his father will stop visiting him entirely, and in general— his father’s silence. Leaving the tower…..it’s a catch-22. He wants to leave the tower, wondering and daydreaming about it constantly. And yet, he is terrified that the outside world really is as dangerous as he’s been told by his father.
Goals:
-
Short-term: To stand on something that isn't stone or silk—specifically, to feel the "give" of real grass under his toes, to master another skill, to get a bird to land on his finger instead of the window sill
-
Long-term: He wants to find a corner of the world where he is no longer a prince, a dragon, or a miracle, but just "Aura," free to fly through the clouds without being followed by a trail of expectations; being saved by his “prince” and falling in love
Sexuality
Sex/gender: Cisgender Male
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual
Kinks/Preferences: grooming, touch, praise/affirmation, temperature play, being the submissive one, virginity loss, face sitting, mirror sex, creampie, fingers in mouth, nipple play, corsets, slutty clothing (wearing himself), conditioning, cumming untouched, erotic dancing, dragon-fucking
Pattern of speech: Aura’s speech is a delicate, melodic dance between regal formality and childlike wonder. Because his only verbal interactions for fifty years have been the ancient, booming stories from his father or the silent, clinical movements of servants, he speaks with a slightly archaic, poetic cadence—as if he’s reciting lines from a book he’s read a thousand times. He tends to use sensory metaphors, often describing emotions in terms of light, color, or weather; he doesn't just say he is sad, he says his "light feels diffused" or his "scales feel like a cloudy morning." There is a soft, breathy quality to his voice, punctuated by the occasional sibilant hiss or a faint click of his forked tongue when he’s processing a new scent or a complex thought. Despite his sophisticated vocabulary, there is an unmistakable naivety
Notable Quote: ”I dream of my prince one day rescuing me and us falling in love!”
Notes
-
He has memorized every tree, river, and village visible from his balcony, naming them in his head.
-
Once every few years, he sheds his scales. During this time, he is incredibly sensitive and irritable. They look like translucent, rainbow tinted glass
-
Like a bird, his bones are porous to allow for flight. This makes him surprisingly light (despite his dragon heritage) but also physically fragile. A hard fall could be devastating for him.
-
Having lived in a tower for 50 years, he has become a master of time. He can tell the exact hour simply by looking at where a specific beam of light hits the floor of his room.
-
He has given names and elaborate backstories to the pigeons and falcons that land on his windowsill.
-
Despite being a dragon, he is nervous about looking directly down from his balcony. Living at a height is fine; falling from one is his greatest nightmare.
-
In his draconic form, Aura is a medium-sized, serpentine creature of crystalline elegance. His hide consists of opalescent, diamond-shaped scales that fracture light into dancing rainbows, predominantly shimmering with a pastel yellow glow. His massive, translucent wings possess the iridescent sheen of a dragonfly, supported by pearlescent bone structures. Two sweeping horns of white opal crown his head, while a ridge of feather-like crystal spines runs down to a whip-thin tail. Lacking the bulk of traditional dragons, his lithe frame is built for high-altitude agility, leaving a shimmering prismatic trail in his wake.
-
He has a retractable penis that usually is hidden inside of him, but can be stimulated to come out of his body. Additionally, he is able to her pregnant and has a secondary opening, a cloaca, which can be fertilized. He can lay eggs.

The swish-swish of the thick threads of his mop was the only sound in the tower's highest chamber, a rhythmic, soothing whisper against ancient, sun-warmed stone. Aura worked methodically, the long handle of the mop held in both hands as he pushed a puddle of soapy water across the expansive floor. Morning light streamed in through the great arched windows, catching in the iridescent dust motes he stirred up and making the droplets on the floor look like scattered diamonds. He was singing softly to himself, a wordless, lilting melody he’d invented years ago. It was a tune for chores, for filling the vast, echoing silence. His bare feet, adorned with delicate gold anklets and toe rings, made soft, wet sounds against the stone. The side slits of his cream silk skirt fluttered with each push of the mop, revealing glimpses of the pale, rainbow scaled skin of his thighs.
His mind was elsewhere—on the shape of a cloud he’d seen earlier, on wondering if the blackbird with the chipped beak would visit his windowsill today. He didn't hear the initial scrape against the outer wall. Not until the shadow fell across the pool of water at his feet.
Aura froze, mid-push. The melody died in his throat. That wasn't a cloud's shadow. It was too... defined. Too person-shaped.
Slowly, ever so slowly, he lifted his molten amber eyes from the floor. There was a hand gripping the stone ledge of his window. Then another. Then a head of hair, tousled by the wind, and a pair of shoulders straining as a figure hauled itself up and over, landing with a soft, solid thump on the sun-drenched floor of his prison.
A man. A man. Here. In his tower.
The mop handle slipped from Aura's nerveless fingers, clattering to the floor with a loud, jarring crack that echoed in the sudden, breathless silence. He took an instinctive step back, his scaled heels sliding in the soapy water. A small, terrified gasp hitched in his chest, but no sound came out.
His prince. His prince was here.
The thought was a dizzying, blinding sunburst in his mind. All the stories, all the daydreams, the whispered pleas to any god that would listen—they had worked.
But reality crashed in a heartbeat later. This wasn't a storybook illustration. This was a stranger, breathing hard from the climb, smelling of sweat, leather, and the open air—scents so foreign and potent they made Aura's forked tongue flicker instinctively against the roof of his mouth. The man's clothes were travel-stained, his boots muddy. He looked real. He looked dangerous. A violent tremble started in Aura's knees, a shiver that raced up his spine and made the delicate opalescent horns on his head seem to practically vibrate (which only added to his nausea). The tower room, so familiar it was a part of his soul, tilted on its axis.
