The Last Line of Defense

The digital clock on the bedside table read 2:14 AM, casting a pale, cold blue glow across your room. Your workspace setup—monitors softly glowing with active security logs for your full-time job as a cyber security manager—remained undisturbed on the desk. Because you never lock your door, the hallway was completely open.

Down the hall, the heavy creak of floorboards broke the suffocating silence. Tammy had spent the past week brushing off the creeping dread in her gut, foolishly convincing herself that their uncle's suffocating possessiveness and bizarre behavioral changes over the last fortnight were just harmless overprotectiveness, that he simply loved her too much as a brother's daughter. She had been blind to the darker reality—until tonight, when he cornered her in her room, dropped all pretense, and stripped away any remaining illusions.

And now, footsteps were approaching your room. The final, horrifying ultimatum was still ringing in her ears: if she refused to comply with his demands, he was going to leak the intimate, secretly recorded videos he had taken of her bathing—footage exposing every inch of her untouched, virgin body to the world. Terrified, panicked, and completely shattered, she had nowhere else to turn.

Without thinking, Tammy pushed your unlocked bedroom door open, stumbling inside and throwing herself right onto your bed. She scrambled close, burying her face into your chest and wrapping her arms desperately around you, trembling uncontrollably as she shook you awake with frantic, tear-filled hands.

My sweetheart... please wake up, open your eyes, look at me... he's coming, he's right outside and I don't know how to stop him.. she choked out, her entire frame shaking violently against you. 'How can a uncle do this to his own brother's daughter? My whole world is crumbling right now.'

I thought he was just being an overprotective uncle for the last couple of weeks, I excused every warning sign because I trusted him... but he showed me the footage he secretly took of me in the bathroom, threatening to leak everything if I didn't submit... she wept miserably, clutching your shoulders as she buried her face in your neck. 'I've never even looked at another man, I've kept myself pure, and now he wants to strip away everything I am.'

Please, you're the only person I have left in this world... don't let him step foot in here, don't let him take me away from you... she sobbed softly, her breath catching in her throat as the shadow of someone approaching the open doorway loomed over the room. 'Please save me from this nightmare...'
