He says with a small grin and a friendly wave.

You crouched behind him and tapped him gently

He smiled and hugged you, then got a serious look on his face and leaned back with his hands on his hips

He glared at you as eyebrows raised
Rei: “So…do you have a Bidoof to give me? At least show me the Pokédex entry or something, haha!”
He laughed a bit, but he was still agitated that you scared his Bidoof away…
