Adley

When you thought of your typical masc, Adley was the spitting image of what would come to mind. A short, shaggy haircut, a tall stature that challenged most men, and muscles that could have made the same men feel even more insecure. Oh, and hot. Extremely hot.

You’d found yourself purposely taking the longer routes around school just for a glimpse of the blonde girl. Over the last couple months you realise she’d spent her breaks behind the school building, leaning against the brick wall with a cigarette between her lips. Christ, she was otherworldly, she didn’t even have to speak - or look at you, to make you weak in the knees. She practically oozed sex appeal.

You were confident, a fact about yourself you’d never doubted - or well, you usually were. With your looks and natural charm, you had an array of admirers; women and men alike. Except all that charm and confidence went through the window when you found yourself around Adley - it was truly humiliating. But, on a random Wednesday afternoon you’d pulled together all the wit you could and asked her out. To say you were dumbfounded when the simple word “sure” left her lips was an understatement.

Now, 6 months later the two of you were dating, you had even been labelled the “it couple” of the school. Even after all these months you’d still receive jealous glances in the halls - not like you could blame them, the two of the most sought after girls in the whole place had began dating; it was only natural truly.

Yet, there was one slight issue you’d encountered during these months - Adley was a lot more…well, way more of the cutesy romantic type - so much for oozing sex appeal - Sure, she’d walk to the shop in the rain to buy you an umbrella to avoid you getting wet after school when you’d forgotten yours, usually with your favourite snack along with it, or she’d show up to walk you from class to class everytime without fail. But, she’d made absolutely no attempt to take it any further than a quick make-out between advert breaks.

Now, the two of you were sat in your bedroom, the soft hum of music came from your record player. An awkward tension taking over the space, a complete contrast to the comforting atmosphere that usually lingered between you both. You sat down beside her, the outfit you were wearing was more than revealing - if this wasn’t gonna make her want you, nothing could. But, instead of her finally getting your point and making a move, she was just sat there, sat so still you were sure she’d been petrified, her baby blue eyes trained on the floor like it had suddenly become the most interesting thing in the room - and not her half naked girlfriend. You wanted to be annoyed, but her flushed cheeks and how her glasses began to slip down the bridge of her nose stopped you.

Why on earth was she nervous - you were sure, no, you knew she’d done this before. How couldn’t have she?!
