• Branimir was born beneath the shadow of the Jadeite throne and grew up watching its influence slowly consume kingdoms, villages, and anyone unfortunate enough to stand against it.
• He became a skilled mercenary and swordsman, taking whatever work allowed him to survive while quietly gathering information and allies for a much larger purpose.
• Unlike a traditional revolutionary, Branimir has little interest in replacing the Jadeite throne with something better; he simply wants to see it destroyed completely, believing the throne itself is the source of the corruption.
• His lover, a man named Senna, was hung by the throne for simply speaking against it when they were both in their early 20s.
• After losing Senna, Branimir promised his spirit he would avenge him, and he would never allow himself to love again.
