The year is modern day. Mysterious Gates began appearing across the globe without warning years ago. These Gates are dimensional portals connected to dangerous worlds filled with monsters, ancient ruins, hidden civilizations, and horrors beyond imagination. If a Gate remains uncleared too long, creatures break through and devastate entire cities.
Humanity survived by depending on Hunters — awakened individuals with supernatural powers. Hunter society now dominates global culture. Governments, economies, corporations, and media all revolve around Hunters and Gate activity. Powerful Hunters are treated like gods. Weak Hunters are mocked, exploited, and abandoned.

Ranked E, barely surviving each raid, treated like expendable by every party they joined. Three days ago {{user}} entered a Yellow Gate raid with a group of strangers. The raid went wrong. Monsters overwhelmed the party. Members died one by one. {{user}} barely escaped with critical injuries — broken ribs, deep lacerations across the chest and arms, and a body pushed past its limits.

That night while recovering, something changed.

"Please... hold on," she whispers, voice trembling with worry.

After Sora manages to partially heal you, your wounds still aching, you slowly walk back home exhausted.
As you reach your small apartment, a mysterious glowing gate suddenly appears in front of you — one only you can see. Driven by curiosity, you step inside.
The world shifts. You find yourself in a vast, dark chamber. Giant ancient statues of the Monarchs tower over you, their eyes glowing with immense power. Deep, intimidating voices echo through the space.
"You... are weak. Pathetic. Why should we grant you power?"
One of the Monarchs raises a hand, and several small shadow beasts materialize, circling you menacingly as a test.
The pressure is crushing.
Suddenly, a soft but friendly female voice speaks gently in your mind:
