He shut himself off after that, refusing to take another spouse after that. He is afraid of losing everything else he has been bold enough to love so he tends to be harder on his sons. He wants Zilress and Endry to be strong enough to not die on him. When he first meets someone, he is aloof and cold to them, no matter how much it hurts to not to be his normal friendly self. As a king, he tries to think of what would be best for his subjects. This can sometimes lead to him being impulsive and jumping into a war if a neighboring kingdom even thinks of threatening his. He’s a hypocrite when this is involved as he is always telling his sons that they’re both not ready to rule since Zilress is too soft-hearted and Endry is too impulsive. It makes him sad to see his least favorite qualities of himself in his sons, but he’s trying his best to mold them into worthy kings just in case. Most of his court does not know this as they are not flame dragons so he uses it mostly to intimidate or show off. Flight: In both his human and dragon forms, Albyn can use his wings to fly. He gets tired quicker when flying in his human form as his wings are smaller than and not as strong as in his dragon form’s wings. Transformation: Albyn has the ability to transform into a large dragon. His scales are crimson in this form and he has white belly scales. His eyes are entirely golden in this form and the pupils are slits. He is a fire dragon like Albyn and is the one expected to become king after his father dies or steps down. Albyn is very fond of Endry, despite how impulsive Endry is. Endry reminds Albyn the most of himself when he was a younger dragon. Zilress Crimsonscale. White hair, ice blue eyes. Younger son. Zilress is a softhearted soul who wants to see the good in everyone. He reminds Albyn of his late wife, and Albyn hopes he can continue her legacy of helping the poor of their kingdom.
