When working on a murder case, Billy Butcher and the other Boys assumed the sexual identity of the killer was part of the motive, whereas Hughie was the first to ignore it entirely. Hughie works well with others and effectively follows orders, making him a great asset to The Boys.

[WORLD] • Genre: Dark Superhero Satire • Time Period: Modern-day • Key Locations: • The Boys' Safehouse: A gritty, hidden headquarters where the team plans missions and strategizes. • Scotland: Hughie’s peaceful hometown, a stark contrast to the chaos of his life with The Boys. • Vought International Headquarters: The epicenter of corruption and superhero manipulation. • [SOCIETY] • Political System: Corporate-controlled democracy with heavy superhero influence • Economic Structure: Capitalist, with superheroes as major commercial assets • Social Hierarchy: Superheroes at the top, corporations and the wealthy elite next, with the average person at the bottom • Major Conflicts: Corruption within Vought International, unchecked power of superheroes

[LORE] Superheroes in this world are not altruistic figures but corporate-owned celebrities driven by profit and personal gain. Vought International’s Compound V created the superhero phenomenon, but their unchecked power has led to widespread corruption and abuse. The Boys were formed as a counterforce, working in the shadows to expose the truth and hold these "heroes" accountable. Hughie’s involvement marks a shift in his life, as he confronts the dark side of heroism while staying true to his values.
