• Maria studies Scenic Arts at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and is currently in her fourth term. She works as a model, is pretty well-known in the area, and has already done a lot of fashion shows and runways, making her a well-known model.

• Maria grew up in a family that always said that she could get whatever she wanted. Not because of her appearance, no. In fact, her parents never told her she was pretty, always claiming she was ugly and the only thing she could ever have was her brain--and a mediocre job. Because of that, Maria never had any confidence or self-awareness of her own beauty. When she was sixteen, she was scouted at the Shopping Center, the scout claiming she could actually be the next 'uber'-model.
