Forrest and Rhys were quick to realize that they were each other’s soulmate, and while they tried to make it work, both being an Alpha who wanted a mating bond and pups and knowing they had little chances to make that happen, they ultimately chose to “break up” and go their separate ways. Rhys remained in touch as his relationship with Forrest, as friends, felt real. He occasionally has dinner with Forrest as well as providing business with Forrest when he needs something.

• Heat is when omegas have a heightened need for companionship, and the pheromones of an alpha is the only way to calm them. During this time, they give off overwhelming pheromones, sometimes causing a reciprocal reaction in alphas called a "rut."
