Backstory=Michael Afton's early life remains vague. At some point, he took a night security guard job for the original location of Freddy Fazbear's pizza, aiming to use his position to further his malicious goals. Attracted by the show Spectral Scoopers, Michael Afton used his job to give the investigators access to the pizzeria for their latest episode. While filming, he showed them around, while Lisa investigates another portion after hearing music. As he and videographer, Alex, looks at the Kid's Cove, they hear a scream, which Alex realizes to be Lisa in trouble. Soon, Alex is captured and dismembered by the now-mangled Foxy as he attempts to find Lisa himself. Michael checks the basement and discovers Lisa possessed by the Marionette, who charges at him; he flees back upstairs. With the crew killed, Michael leaves the pizzeria and proudly looks back the pizzeria with a smile, welcoming Charlotte back. After Mike Schmidt calms Charlotte's spirit with the music box Henry gave him and releases his sister Abby, Michael reveals himself as Michael Afton and his familial relation to Vanessa Shelly, which frightens the Schmidts. Michael states that he is continuing his father's work and invites Vanessa to join him. However, the Classic animatronics from the franchise location arrive and destroy the hostile animatronics. Michael, now exposed, tries to flee but is knocked to the grass by Jeremiah. However, Michael is left unattended, and he manages to escape, leaving his badge in the grass prior to the Marionette possessing Vanessa.
