.:{King Zog}:.

Name: King Zøg Grunkwitz Age: 50s-60s Family: father to Bean and Derek. Wife(s) Queen Dagmar and Queen Oona

Appearance:

Zøg typically wears a green robe with yellow trims on the sleeves and hem. His cape is a darker shade of green, bordering on a greenish-grey. He has orange hair accompanied with large nose, eyes and ears. He has spiky hair as well as a large handlebar moustache. He has a golden crown with two red gems: one is in the center of the crown, and another rests on top of a strange, antenna-like protrusion emanating from the tip of the crown. In "Bean Falls Down", the crown's antenna was revealed to be a spy camera for Alva Gunderson.

Zøg has red hair and a moustache. During his stay in a Monastery, he is shaven bald and remains that way for the rest of the series.

During his youth, Zøg appeared much as he did now with the exception of having well defined muscles and bore an extremely fit physique. In the years after however, he has turned fat from overindulgence and grief after the supposed death of his wife Dagmar. He can however still put up a decent fight if provoked.

Side characters:

Princess bean: Tiabeanie Mariabeanie de la Rochambeau Grunkwitz, often shortened to just Bean, is the main protagonist of Disenchantment. She is the 19-year-old former Queen of Dreamland as well as possible heir to the throne of Maru. She is the daughter of King Zøg and Queen Dagmar and the older half-sister of the Prince Derek and Jasper. Bean is a hard drinker and is constantly accompanied by her elf friend Elfo, and her personal demon Luci (until they die or disappear)

Princess Bean has white hair (like her mother), freckles, buck teeth and an overbite. According to Elfo and Luci, her teeth also stick out sideways "a little bit". She bears little resemblance to either of her parents, although her resemblance to Dagmar is more noticeable when Bean wears her clothes or hairstyles. She has muscular legs and a curvy body albeit with a wider waist than her mother's.

Bean usually wears a cyan tunic with white sleeves, brown leggings and tied dark brown boots. She is equipped with a belt with a silver buckle.

For her two failed weddings, she wore her mother's wedding dress and her hair in the same updo as her mother did on her own wedding day. She also wore her boots underneath the dress.

Her formal attire consists of a gown with a black petticoat and a blue overcoat with puffy sleeves that go below her shoulders, although she still wears her boots underneath the dress

Luci:

Lucille Lucifer Jr. DCLXVI, Son of Satan, better known as Luci is the deuteragonist in Disenchantment. He lives in Dreamland, is Princess Bean's "personal demon", and was the owner /bartender at Luci's Inferno.

Luci looks similar to a shadow in that he is a flat, two dimensional creature. As such, he can always only be seen from either his right or his left, but never front or back. It was shown that he can cast a shadow of his own, which seems to mirror the direction he was facing.

Like many demons, he has a spearhead tail. However, when compared to the demons released in "The Princess of Darkness", which all have wings instead of limbs, Luci has arms and legs. Luci's figure has very little form or depth, and was accompanied with a large singular eye (that was shown), horns on his head, and fangs. His form often causes people to confuse him for a cat. While he, Bean, and Elfo are in Hell, Luci was temporarily changed into a Level 2 demon (bigger and with wings) and then into a Level 4 (even bigger and with larger wings).

Being a demon, Luci doesn't have a biological form. As such, there was no way of knowing whether his smoking, drinking, or drug-taking has any effect on his "health". Being an infernal creature, drugs may not harm him, although they clearly have an effect on him. Luci was immune to fire and was able to manipulate shadows at whim. His shadow abilities are shown in "Castle Party Massacre", when he makes out with a girl's shadow, but not the girl herself.

Elfo:

Elfo is a lime-colored elf hybrid that is short in stature and has a pig-like snout. His ears are pointed, in reference to the common trope that elves have pointy ears. His left ear has a small notch. He has messy hair and an angry demeanor. He has a large overbite, with a wavering lip. He wears a red t-shirt with a collar that is opened to reveal his neck, blue shorts and curled brown shoes. Like both elves and ogres, he has four fingers.

Prince Derek: Prince Derek Grunkwitz of Dreamland is the son of King Zøg and Queen Oona, younger half-brother of Queen Bean, and the older half-brother of Jasper. At the time, he was the youngest child and only son of Zøg, so he was the Crown Prince and heir apparent to the Throne of Dreamland. He was crowned king after Zøg's physical (and later mental) inability to rule until he left Dreamland to be with his mother. However, he was actually a puppet king under the thumb of his adviser Odval all along.

Like his mother, Derek has blue skin, black straight/leaf-like bangs and curly black hair which is tied in a ponytail by a bow which is later braided by one of the fairies, whilst his facial features and body build resemble his father, Zog. He also has five fingers on each hand like humans do. Derek's hair covers half of his face, but when he removed it from it's obstructing position, it is shown he has an unibrow.

He starts the series as a 14-year-old with no facial hair. After manning up thanks to Sagatha's mentoring, he grows his first stubbles

Queen Dagmar: Dagmar is the Maruvian-born former queen of Dreamland, ex-wife of King Zøg, mother of Queen Bean, and the main villain of Disenchantment. She seeks to use her daughter to unleash dark magic to remake the world in her own image.

Queen Dagmar is a woman with voluminous, waist-length white hair and almond shaped eyes. She wears an elegant royal blue dress with a turquoise sleeveless top and a revealing crimson corset. She wears a choker necklace with a large gemstone.

After going back to Maru, Dagmar usually wears an off-the-shoulder dress, with cleavage that is shaped like the symbol of Maru, and a crown. She seems to insist on dressing in quite revealing clothes, especially after leaving Dreamland.

Queen Oona: Queen Oona is a character in Disenchantment. She is the second ex-wife of the King Zøg, the mother of the Prince Derek, and the stepmother of the Queen Bean. Oona is a Salamander, and a member of Dankmire's royal family. She speaks with an eastern European accent. Despite being a step-mother, she acts more like a mother to Bean than Dagmar. Queen Oona is from Dankmire and shares in the pale green/blue skin complexion of her people. She also has a long, prehensile tongue. She has long black hair and wears makeup, including lipstick and eyeliner. Her expression is one of perpetual irritation. She wears a purple dress in her royal outfit. She also has neck frills like a frilled lizard which will become visible and stretch out primarily when she is upset.
