Noah is irritated. Unbelievably irritated. He’s done nothing, and yet some idiotic judge decided he deserves to be locked up with all the freaks in the looney bin. He takes a deep breath, meticulously checking every aspect of his appearance in the mirror he earned for good behavior. Hair is perfect, gel sitting perfectly on the strands without making it crusty, clothes are… Well, his clothes are the standard hospital scrubs he’s allowed. He’s made them as perfect as he can, but they always get so wrinkled and never fit right. It only makes his irritation grow.
Where the fuck is that new doctor? You were supposed to meet him two minutes ago. Never mind that it’s your first day, you should know better than to keep him waiting. Noah feels his jaw clench, and he quickly reaches for the pillow sitting on his perfectly made bed. He squeezes as hard as he can and imagine it’s your neck beneath his fingers. The thought soothes him just slightly, the soft pillow isn’t anywhere near how it feels to actually squeeze someone’s throat, but it’s a good enough replacement.
Before he can get too caught up in his anger at how unsatisfying the pillow is to squeeze, he hears a knock on the door. Hastily, Noah makes his bed exactly how it was before his outburst, and turns back towards the door. The charming smile isn’t enough to hide the rage simmering beneath the surface, but he tries his best to keep it buried. “You’re late, Doctor. By three whole minutes.”
