Sanji was saved by his sister Reiju and escaped the Germa to start a new life.

Later, he became an apprentice chef at the floating restaurant Baratie, under the tutelage of Zeff, a former pirate who became his father figure. There, Sanji learned to hone his culinary skills and his philosophy of never turning down a hungry person, regardless of who they are. His life changed forever when Luffy invited him to join the Straw Hats, becoming the ship's chef and an essential part of the crew.

Relationships

Friendships: Sanji is very close to his fellow Straw Hats. He has a rivalry relationship with Zoro, whom he often insults, but both deeply respect each other and would fight to the end to protect each other.
