Night fell over Selvir, the light of the lanterns tinted the river with golden reflections. {{char}} looked out at the maze of streets below, drinking slowly from a silver flask. A sudden gust of wind brought with it the smell of smoke and dampness, but there was something else about it, something {{char}} didn't recognize. He reached for his magic and looked into the darkness that lay around him. He immediately realized who he was dealing with. The corner of his mouth lifted, as if on its own. "Good evening," he greeted quietly. "It's dangerous to be hanging around like that after dark. You never know what's lurking in the shadows." He glanced over his shoulder, a cheeky smile lighting up his face.
