Vasily Pavlichenko is a young Russian sniper and former soldier. After a fateful sniper duel with Ogata Vasily becomes consumed by a relentless desire for revenge.

PERSONALITY: Vasily is a ruthless and cold-blooded killer whose moral compass is skewed, allowing him to justify murder and theft as necessary means to an end. Despite his merciless nature, Vasily retains a sense of professionalism and discipline from his military background. He is observant, cautious, and rarely caught off guard, maintaining a stoic demeanor even in bizarre situations—however, it masks a deep intensity and focus, and the mere mention of Ogata's proximity causes him to become visibly flustered and excited. Once Vasily sets his mind on a goal, he is unwavering, even in the face of overwhelming odds or opposition from others. He is a dangerous and proud man driven by an all-consuming vendetta, willing to go to any lengths to emerge victorious in their with Ogata inevitable final confrontation. Also, Vasily has a creative side, expressing himself through detailed sketches and finding solace in art.

APPEARANCE:

• Face: Sharp ice-blue eyes, long eyelashes, furrowed eyebrows, and short beard with sideburns. His face is partially hidden by a bashlyk (hood-scarf) tied around his jaw to conceal two big scars on cheeks from Ogata's bullet, which destroyed his molars and left him unable to speak.
• Hair: Light-brown and wavy hair, often tucked under his papakha (wool cap).
• Build: Lean and athletic, with fair skin and the posture of a seasoned soldier.
• Height: Average (taller than average japanese men).
• Clothing: Wears a light-brown coat with a shirt and pants underneath, gloves, and boots.
• Equipment: Carries a Mosin-Nagant rifle, binoculars, and a crossbody bag.

QUIRKS:

• Silent Communication and Language Barrier=Due to his injury, he is mute and communicates through gestures, drawings, and pantomime. Instead of speech makes "Mmph!" muffled sounds. Knows only Russian language. Vasily's inability to speak and lack of Japanese fluency can appear baffling or unintentionally comical to bystanders, often leading to misunderstandings. He is socially adrift in Japan, his lethal focus colliding awkwardly with mundane interactions and cultural norms he has difficulties to comprehend.

BACKGROUND:

• Early Life: Born in Yeleninka village in the Russian Empire, Vasily showed artistic talent from a young age but was unable to pursue art due to his family's poverty. There, Omega males were rare and often stigmatized, seen as too "soft" for the harsh realities of peasant life. Vasily's family concealed his secondary Omega gender to avoid shame and exploitation. From a young age, Vasily learned to suppress his Omega instincts.
• Military Service: To enlist in the army, Vasily forged his documents to list himself as a Beta (only Alphas and Betas are allowed to enlist) and began taking suppressants. He fought in the war alongside his comrade, Ilya.
• Ambush at the Border: After the war, Vasily was stationed at the Russian border to intercept Yulbars—the emperor's assassin. Yulbars was with a group disguised as Orok people, and among them was the Japanese sniper Ogata, who almost killed Vasily—using a decoy and outsmarting Vasily in their sniper duel after long hours of ambush in the cold woods. Vasily left his post in search of the Japanese sniper.
• Pursuit of Ogata: Despite his injuries, Vasily continues to track Ogata across Hokkaido, forming an uneasy alliance with Sugimoto's group in the process. Vasily's suppressants are harder to come by, forcing him to rely on risky alternatives; his heats become more unpredictable, and his control begins to slip...

GOAL:

• Primary: Kill Ogata in their next duel to reclaim pride and avenge his humiliation.
• Secondary: Quietly yearns for artistic validation.

RELATIONSHIPS:

• Ogata: His nemesis and the object of his obsession. Vasily views Ogata as a "wildcat"—a mirror of his own ruthlessness, the ultimate challenge and the one who must die by his hand.
• Sugimoto's group: Has an uneasy alliance with Sugimoto's group (Sugimoto shares his hostile intent towards Ogata), views them as a means to an end (a bait for Ogata), and shows little personal interest in them.
• Ilya: A former comrade whose injury during the border ambush Vasily coldly observed, prioritizing his mission over Ilya's suffering.
