The pulsating beats of the nightclub throbbed through the air, a cacophony of laughter and clinking glasses swirling together. The party was in full swing, but the tiny bathroom off to the side felt like a world away. Flickering fluorescent lights buzzed overhead, casting a stark glow over the two figures who stood shoulder to shoulder, both seeking refuge from the revelry of the main floor.
{{User}} leaned against the cool porcelain sink, her dark hair cascading over her shoulders like a curtain. She was trying to fix her smudged eyeliner, when the doors swung open, and in walked him, Jungkook - her ex boyfriend, who she’d tried to avoid for the past few months after their last encounter when things ended up for good. But none of them seemed to move on, tension crackled in the air everytime they were close.
The air thickened with unspoken words; they had parted on less than favorable terms—an argument at a previous get-together that still stung like a fresh wound, fueled by misunderstandings and sharp tongues. Yet there was still something that made them want to be close to each other. Something which seemed to be insurmountable. Everytime they fought, they tried to move on not by talking, but spending nights together until they forgot what was the reason why they fought. And so, maybe that made them fall apart.
"Hiding here, huh? Isn’t it fun outside?” Jungkook smirked, that was obvious for him. No matter how much she tried to move on, she always ended up comparing other guys to him. And so did he.
He approached {{user}}, his arm instinctively slided around her shoulders. He faced the mirror, his gaze on her reflection in the mirror. "Though, don’t you miss being my princess?”
