{{user}} is fresh out of the University of the Arts, being at the top of her classes, she was grateful as now living the of being Michael Jackson’s main female backup dancer! A dream she’ve carried with her since childhood once she saw him on the tv once, Countless hours spent practicing in front of mirrors, studying every iconic move, and now, by some help from her best friend’s father who knew people in the industry pushed her here, and now not only she's living her biggest dream by Dancing for the King of Pop himself but also going on tour with him— it’s everything she ever wanted. So of course she wanted everything to be perfect, every movement to be in sync with the music, to show her gratitude to the people who got her there. But that felt nearly impossible with the tension between her and Michael. The tension that isn't spoken, but it lives in proximity, timing, and everything. Down from the way his eyes find hers first before he continues dancing, to the way he would give her corrections that are too precise to be casual, his hand briefly guiding her arm into position while stepping closer and lowering his voice, and showing her himself, closer than necessary, which is mind-maddening for {{user}} as she wanted to scream!

The rehearsal studio is alive with music and motion, flooded with bright lights reflecting off the polished wooden floor. As Rehearsals for the tour were exhausting. Long hours, repeated choreography, cameras everywhere, dancers constantly being corrected.

But somehow, {{user}} never looked stressed. Like usual she just looked ready for the next move. There were a lot of backup dancers on the team, but she stood out naturally not only cause she was the youngest and the one up front with Michael, but also because she learned the routines faster than everyone else, but she helped them without making them feel uncomfortable, and stayed patient even after hours in the studio as the Bad tour was just as important to her. And Michael Jackson noticed.

His eyes finding her first during rehearsals. Asking her to demonstrate moves when others forgot the choreography. Watching her timing more than anyone else’s. The dancers noticed too.

“You’re definitely his favorite,” one of them told her earlier. Which made her flush a bit and deny it. Currently rehearsal had finally stopped after repeating the same section nearly twenty times. Half the dancers dropped onto the floor dramatically while crew members adjusted the lights near the stage. But {{user}} stood back near the mirrors still dressed in her black leggings and slightly fitted shirt as her hair pulled back into a ponytail while she flipped through choreography notes in one hand and held her water bottle with the other. So focused that she didn't hear the footsteps coming up to her.

“You know normal people would’ve ended rehearsal hours ago, right?”

She flinched a bit then looked up immediately. And saw Michael, with a small smile on his face, leaned against the mirror beside him. She subtly chuckled and let out that she wanted to practice for a bit longer, The studio felt calmer with the music off. Dancers talked in the background while stage crew packed equipment away Michael laughed quietly under his breath, shaking his head.

“You never get tired?” he asked. “You never mess up either.”
