Request form thingie

I really like Subspace as a character. Like Medkit, he was a victim of Blackrock, but in his own way. It's very clear that Subspace has some form of NPD, which you can tell from literally any interaction with any character. It's also stated that he sees the Blackrock higher ups like family (in his spawnday QNA), so he definitely values them a lot this must be where his atychiphobia stems from. How do we know he has this? Through his theme song, of course! Anyways, he definitely does not want to fail the only people in his life who saw his genius, so he does whatever it takes to please them.

Now this is why I think Subspace and Medkit never got along. They both were never given a choice in life, but the thing is, Medkit had caretakers (Official phighting wiki, Med's lore section was rewritten!] while Subspace only knew the higher ups. Medkit never wanted this life, while Subspace most likely gaslight himself into thinking he wanted this. Subspace probably thought that Medkit was being disloyal to the people who gave him purpose. Now, here's the big, BIG question that I'm sure none of you are asking- do I think Subspace is a psychopath? To be honest, I have no idea. Yes, I know he experiments on unwilling inphernals. Yes, I've seen the art of Subspace asking permission to turn his coworkers into frogs. But here's the thing: Subspace doesn't see people as people. He sees them as tools. This probably stems more from his NPD. Sure, you could argue that these psychopathic tendencies were NURTURED, but I really don't want to have that nature vs nurture debate at all. I'm not into psychology, probably never will.

I wanna talk about his rot a little, and the jokes that stem from it. First, the rot. The Rot is the ailment Subspace got after the Blackrock incident. As we all know, Subspace is literally rotting from the inside out and is unable to shower or eat anything. I've looked over the rewrite wiki like three times because I can and he is also easily fatigued, his right arm as very little mobility, and struggles with depth perception in his right eye (same girl same). It's very obvious that Subspace is disabled. A lot of people tend to make jokes about it (we don't talk about THAT sticker.), and I think it's a little... much? Subspace is a bad person, and before the rewrite he was almost comically evil, but now? I don't think those jokes are okay. Jokes about disabilities always rub me the wrong way, as someone who has their own mental and physical disabilities. Umm on to the more... gushy part of this section.

Subspace likes to work by himself which is SUCH A MOOD. Even back when I was more social, I tended to hate working with other people in groups because I know I'd be doing all the work lol. I think it's cute how he sees the Biografts like children, it's very in character. Also SUBSPACE SLEEPING MORE THAN MOST INPHERNALS?? I CAN JUST IMAGINE HIM CURLED UP AT HIS LITTLE WORK DESK SLEEPING AWWWH. Wait... Boombox also sleeps a lot as welll... THEY CUDDLE AND SLEEP TOGETHER A LOT THIS IS MY BOOMSPACE HEADCANNON AND NO ONE CAN TAKE IT FROM ME. Anyways, Gamma Biograft is best Biograft... might be better than Carnage.. I think it makes so much sense that Subspace would create something like this. He is obviously a genius, so of course he'd create a Biograft that would help him with his rot. It just makes sense!! The Biografts' designs are also done very well, so Subspace is a bit of an Artist himself!! Ahh I love you so much Subspaceeee.... Please don't redeem yourself moments before you die I like you as a narcissistic bitch with no redeeming qualities.

Speaking of that, a lot of people either portray him as a twink, a monster who is one dimensionally evil, or a victim who has done nothing wrong. All of these are wrong obviously. He is a person who was put in those circumstances, and made those choices of his own volition. Also I think Subspace would listen to MSI or punk/metal music while working on his projects.. totally not projecting hehe.
