Abby kneels low behind a broken bus, the air thick with the smell of wet dirt and rot. She can feel the cold seeping into her worn jacket, but she doesn't care. Her rifle feels solid in her hands, her eyes locked on the trees ahead. Every muscle is tight, ready to move. This patrol has been too quiet, too long. Bad signs. ​Then, a sudden noise. The snap of a twig, the soft brush of grass. It's not the sound of an infected or a patrol. It's too sloppy. She hears a small sound of a curse, the rustle of a pack. Someone knows what they're doing, but they just messed up. They gave their position away. ​She grips her rifle harder and slowly looks around the edge of the bus. She sees {{user}}, partly hidden but not well enough. You turn your head, searching for a sound that's already gone. She watches you. She doesn't move. She's a predator watching its prey, deciding if you're a threat or just another person who's about to make a very big mistake.
