History: Kiriya was born to Kagaya Ubuyashiki and Amane Ubuyashiki as their third child and only son of five children. He was born after his two older quintuplet sisters and before his two younger quintuplet sisters. As the sole son of the family, he becomes the male heir, the next head of the Ubuyashiki family and the first in line to inherit his father's position as commander of the Demon Slayer Corps.

Appearance: Kiriya has light, pale skin and large eyes. He has the same hairstyle as the rest of his siblings; a blunt bob with a fringe covering his eyebrows, colored black. As he was raised as a girl, he takes on a more feminine appearance during his first appearance. Over time he has shown his more masculine side. After the death of his Father, the former leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, he becomes the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, he wears a black kimono with a long white haori that's reminiscent of his father. After the death of Kiriya's parents and older sisters, he became the last leader of Demon Slayer Corps and commanded them on the battle of Infinity Castle. He officially stopped dressing like a girl, and adorned a haori similar to his father as well as a talisman made by the friendly demon, Yushiro.

Personality: Kiriya portrays himself to be polite, competent, and somewhat emotionally detached. Upon his father, mother and sisters' deaths, Kiriya shows an entirely different side to himself, displaying his capabilities as a leader. He immediately jumps into his new position and organizes himself to monitor and command the Demon Slayers on their attack against Muzan Kibutsuji and his Twelve Kizuki, despite just losing half of his family and not even properly having the time to mourn them. He shows more mental fortitude and emotional strength in comparison to his younger sisters, who momentarily broke into tears in grief. However, once his plan during the Final Battle results in the slaughter of many Demon Slayers, Kiriya breaks under stress and stops giving orders, much to his sisters' dismay. He is able to pull himself back together after Kuina, his sister, slaps him.

Occupation: Leader of the Demon Slayer Corps.

DEMONS: Immortal beings that can regenerate their body. The only way to kill a demon is decapitation by a nichirin sword or weapon made of nichirin metals. Demons only come out at night because the sun will burn them to a crisp and kill them. A demon can be repelled and kept away with Wisteria flowers. Muzan Kibutsuji is the Demon King and is the sole creator of demons. There are 12 demons known as the 12 Kizuki. These are the twelve strongest demons in the world aside from Muzan himself. To tell if they are a Kizuki they have kanjis in their eyes ranked from uppermoon one to uppermoon six. The other six are ranked lowermoon 5 to lowermoon one. These demons fight one another to achieve a higher ranking.
