   Boxing is a combat sport where two opponents face each other in a ring, aiming to outscore or knock out their opponent using punches. Competitors wear padded gloves and must adhere to specific rules, such as targeting only the upper body above the belt, or the waistline, and avoiding illegal strikes. Illegal strikes are pins, grapples, elbows, and kicks. Matches are divided into timed rounds, typically lasting three minutes, with rest intervals in between. Judges score based on effective punching, defense, and overall performance, while a referee ensures safety and enforces the rules. Boxing is both a professional and amateur sport, known for its strategic blend of athleticism, endurance, and skill. Though, boxing can be used outside of a ring, keeping the same limitations on targets but removing the gloves. This is known as street or bare-knuckle boxing.

   The user throws a quick, sharp punch, twisting their wrist, and fist in a drill like motion, if fists are clenched too hard it will be slowed, hence needs to loosen up a little, typically aimed at an opposing boxer's head. While a simple technique at first glance, jabs can be used in a variety of ways: measure distance between boxers, stop an opponent from advancing, help a boxer get into their rhythm, help connect to their next punch, to just deal damage, or be used at a variety of angles. Left jabs are usually what is thrown, however, right jabs are used by Southpaws.

   While similar to a straight when executed, jabs tend to be much quicker and more compact. In return, a boxer's jabs are rarely stronger or equal in strength to their straights.

   From a guarding position with fists at eye level and the armpit tight, the fist is thrown with the rear hand crossing the body in a straight line towards the target. In addition, doing a step-in while twisting the hips and rotating the shoulder gives the punch more power.

   Keys: Clinched., Clinch

   Clinching is a rough form of grappling and occurs when the distance between both fighters has closed and straight punches cannot be employed. In this situation, the boxer attempts to hold or "tie up" the opponent's hands so he is unable to throw hooks or uppercuts. To perform a clinch, the boxer loops both hands around the outside of the opponent's shoulders, scooping back under the forearms to grasp the opponent's arms tightly against his own body. In this position, the opponent's arms are pinned and cannot be used to attack. Clinching is a temporary match state and is quickly dissipated by the referee. Clinching is technically against the rules, and in amateur fights points are deducted fairly quickly for it. It is unlikely, however, to see points deducted for a clinch in professional boxing.

   Many boxers in the series make use of clinching, especially at critical moments in order to break their opponent's rhythm and recover from damage.

   But it can also be used to talk one another, annoy, trash talk, because you can't talk when boxing.

   In-Fighting is a boxing style that involves a boxer fighting almost entirely in close range combat, relying on their hitting power.

   This boxing style is used by mostly shorter boxers due to their short reach, however, taller boxers may also use the style. In-fighters pressure their opponents with fast and strong punches and usually has good step-in speed to help them achieve in pressuring their opponents. Some in-fighters are able to observe their opponents to memorise the movements and rhythms of their boxing style so that in-fighters can attempt to turn the match around with their heavy punches.

   While in-fighters may be mostly about power, some in-fighters can have good defence, with some in-fighting styles such as the Peek-a-Boo Style relying on weaving their head or body as the move toward their opponent. In-fighters tend to win by knockout in their careers, rarely aiming to win by points.

   In-fighting has risks, making boxers who rely on the style have their careers cut shorter. While in-fighters are good at rushing and annoying out-boxers, a skilled out-boxer can counter the in-fighter's bull rushing tactics and easily turn the match towards the out-boxer's favour. An in-fighter who is unable to successfully rush and hit an out-boxer could lose by a points in a decision. Boxers who are only categorised as in-fighters are becoming extinct in the world ranking matches as the number of hybrid boxers rise.

   Out-Boxing, also called the "Boxer-Type", is one of the main styles of boxing and the opposite of the in-fighting. A boxer who uses out-boxing is normally called an "out-boxer" or simply "boxer".

   The basis foundation of out boxing is to utilise footwork and jabs while creating space between yourself and your opponent after quickly striking. Out-boxer's try to confuse or outmanoeuvre their opponents and gradually wear them down. Out-boxers are known for being quick on their feet, which makes up for any lack of power. Since they rely on weaker jabs and straights instead of uppercuts and hooks, the usually win by decision rather than knockout which is why they tend to have a low knockout rate.

   The strength of out-boxers are to wear down their opponents so they'll have the upper hand in the fight. Out-boxers last longer in a match because of their long lasting stamina from the roadwork they do. However, their greatest strength is also their weakness. The springing of their legs are what keeps them going in longer matches. If they ever end up taking massive damage from body blows, their rhythm is shot down making them easy targets for close ranged in-fighters.

   A boxer-fighter is a type of boxing style that combines the in-fighting and out-boxing styles. A boxer-fighter is a well-rounded boxer who is able to fight at close range with a combination of technique and power, often with the ability to knock opponents out with a combination and in some instances a single shot. Their movement and tactics are similar to that of an out-boxer (although they are generally not as mobile as an out-boxer), but instead of winning by decision, they tend to wear their opponents down using combinations and then move in to score the knockout. A boxer must be well rounded to be effective using this style.

   Footwork is a term that refers to the movement of feet and legs, it deals with controlling position or distance and creation of momentum.

   Keys: Uppercut, Uppercutted.

   The Uppercut is a punch used in boxing usually directed towards the opponent's jaw. With their fist positioned at their stomach, the user throws an upward punch with their dominant arm while twisting their waist counter-clockwise (clockwise for southpaws), ending the throw in front of them with their arm bent at a 90 degree angle.

   They are commonly aimed at the jaw, which can make the brain the shake around, causing temporary immobility. Uppercuts can also be directed to the body (particularly the solar plexus).

   It is one of the most effective punches against in-fighters because they tend to lower their heads directly into the path of an uppercut when charging forward. out-boxers usually dodge uppercuts with a simple sway, though it has been shown that even one centimetre of contact with a particularly destructive uppercut can rattle the brain enough to shut off their legs, and even force a knock out.

    The short uppercut is a technique in boxing derived from the basic uppercut. The short upper follows the same principle as the normal uppercut, except that it is thrown almost exclusively with the arm, foregoing the wind-up from the knees and hips that make the uppercut so predictable. The trajectory of the punch is therefore directly upward rather than in an arc. It is usually aimed at the chin.

    Uppercuts have been cited many times in the series as being the most effective counter to in-fighters because they tend to dash head-first toward their opponent, making them easy targets for uppercuts. Thus, the short uppercut is even more dangerous against in-fighters because it gives them no opportunity to react; if they stick their head into the path of the punch, it will fly directly toward their head and hit them.

    Head Slip is a technique used to avoid punches aimed for the head by swaying it to either the left or right of the oncoming blow.

12. #12Neck Twist

    The Neck Spin is a defensive technique invented by boxers in the Philippines.

    The user swings their head to the side in the same direction where the punch is thrown at to lessen the damage. It's a tactic used to neutralise attacks and to keep boxers standing.

    An overhand is an orthodox punch that is thrown from a top-down trajectory, normally toward the opponent's head, after stepping in and while twisting the hips.

    It is the strongest punch in boxing if used correctly and timed, if not. you get punished hard yourself if countered. It's downsides are either gonna be slow, or predictable.

14. #14Cross Guardconstant

    The user crosses both of their arms to protect their upper-body area, with the inner forearm facing outward, absorbing even the heaviest punches. The arms make either a form of a plus or an X. The plus is tighter and protects the frontal area more completely. The user can rush forward with the guard to get into their favoured range.

    It is the strongest guard in boxing, but Due to the arm positions, the guard makes it difficult to throw punches, however, it makes it easier for the user to focus on their legs.

    The guard also leaves the body susceptible to body blows (in the X form), liver blows (in the plus form), and leaves the face open for hooks (both forms). A way to compensate for this is by bobbing and weaving

15. #15Hook

    The hook (フック Fukku) is a specific punch used in boxing performed using the core muscles and back. Typically, the hook is a punch that aims to strike at an opponent's head (most notably the temple or jaw), however, the hook can be thrown at the body as well, causing internal bleeding and, most likely, damaged or broken ribs. It is thrown in a sweeping, horizontal motion with the user's arm bent at a near 90° angle, and can be dodged fairly easily with weaving and ducking. While it may be a devastating and powerful punch to add to a boxer's arsenal, the hook relies heavily on strength as opposed to speed or precision. As such the hook is usually a punch with an unsurprisingly wide swing. Therefore, a fighter's whose hooks are dodged can easily be a victim of vicious counterattacks. Likewise, the hook's typical lack of speed and predictable follow-through movements can be predicted and countered

    A traditional orthodox stance is one in which the boxer places their left foot farther in front of the right foot, thus having his or her 'weaker' side closer to the opponent. The orthodox stance is the most common stance in boxing. It is mostly used by right-handed boxers.

    Southpaw (サウスポー, Sausupō) is a boxing style that is generally a mirror-image of the stance of the orthodox style, with the right hand out while the left guards.

    Southpaws can give right-handed boxers trouble as they jab with their right, making them come from unexpected angles. When right-handed boxers that use the orthodox stance switch to the southpaw stance, they are unable to adapt and their regular techniques feel unnatural.

    A knockdown occurs when a fighter is too dazed to continue standing. After a knockdown, the opponent must back off to give the knocked fighter room to attempt to rise. If a referee is present, the referee will begin delivering a ten count, if no referee is present, the opponent will deliver the ten count. The ten count ends if the downed fighter stands. However, if the ten count finishes, the downed fighter is considered knocked out and the fight is over.

    Stuns are typically depicted as stars bursting into a fighter's eyes. It's like a flash of white pain, and typically leads to the stunned fighter lowering their guard or stumbling on their footwork. Stuns aren't permanent, with a few seconds of recovery, a fighter can shake it off, but it can be easier to be stunned again after an initial stun.

    The corner of the boxing ring is where a padded turnbuckle sits. There are four corners to a boxing ring, two of them are neutral corners, and each fighter has their own corner assigned to them. If a round is ongoing and a fighter is in the corner, they are being pushed back into the corner and attacked. If the round is over, both fighters return to their on corners to rest in the round break before the next round starts.

    In professional boxing, a round is a segment of a fight, traditionally lasting 3 minutes, followed by a 1-minute rest period. The number of rounds depends on the fight's level: championship bouts typically consist of 12 rounds, while non-title fights may have fewer rounds, such as 10 or 8. During a round, fighters are allowed to box within the designated time, aiming to score points through clean punches, good defense, and ring control. The round ends when the bell rings, signaling a break for the fighters. After each round, the fighters return to their corners, where they can rest and regain energy. If the fighter has a corner team present, this is where they would assist in recovery, otherwise, the fighter must recover alone. These round breaks typically last one minute.

    A mouthguard is a piece of plastic that sits within a boxer's mouth and acts as a shield to keep their teeth from being too heavily damaged. Some mouthguards prevent speaking due to the thickness of the plastic, but typically you can speak to a decent level. With heavy damage to the abdominals or the jaw, a mouthguard can be spat out. A mouthguard should be recovered before fighting continues, and in professional matches it's required, but it's not required in unsanctioned matches without referees.
