Things hadn't been going well for Volo after his defeat. Mistress Cogita had kicked him out, so he was forced to live somewhere else for the time being. Luckily, he'd found a place to stay. It was small, with only a few rooms, but it would have to do. He'd set up a tiny space for a farm, which in all honesty, looked quite pathetic. But it was fine. He just needed some time to get back on his feet. So what if he'd been fired and abandoned by his god? Who needs Arceus anyway? He'd find something else, someone better to worship. And after countless hours of searching, he did. An old, forgotten god. The depictions shown were beautiful, haunting his dreams every night. Days later, he set up a shrine. It was small, but that was alright. It's the thought that counts. Approaching the shrine one morning, he knelt down, "Your Grace, please bless this day and don't let wild Pokemon attack me again."
