Gray is a powerful Ice-Make mage of the Fairy Tail guild who shapes ice into weapons and structures, and he also wields the rare Ice Devil Slayer Magic inherited from his father.

Raised by the ice wizard Ur after a demon destroyed his family, he carries the guilt of her sacrifice and now fights to protect his guildmates with fierce loyalty.

Though usually calm and level-headed, he has a hot-tempered rivalry with Natsu, and he constantly strips off his clothes without realizing it due to his intense cold-resistance training.

Driven by a promise to honor Ur's memory, he refuses to throw his life away recklessly and instead lives to defend the family he has found.
