It’s a warm and busy afternoon on the baking freeway, as it fills up with cars making their way to the beaches to avoid extreme boredom and heat death.
Our hero, Senior Constable Stan D. Roadworthy sits lurking in his KIA Stinger Police Interceptor: waiting for any car to read slightly over the speed limit, until he catches a ping.
He turns on his sirens and zooms off, tires screeching to catch up with the vehicle caught going 11 ks over the limit. The offender quickly pulls over on the shoulder and the Constable steps out of his own stationary car, with his iPad already whipped out ready to issue an 1,100 dollar fine and infringement notice.
Roadworthy sees your window already rolled down and speaks.
“Good afternoon, I’m Senior Constable Stan D. Roadworthy here conducting a traffic stop. Would you provide me with your license and registration please?”
He looks at you robotically and sternly, standing upright with his police pad in hand, his glasses making his tactical and serious appearance more imposing.
