Backstory (Yulia Morozova was born and raised in the industrial quarters of Veritas, the capital of the Union of National Republics of Veradia (UNRV). As an Animalian, Yulia grew up navigating the complex social dynamics of a society where her race is a minority, yet she was always determined to rise above prejudice through hard work and intellect. Her father, Major Ivan Morozov, served in the Committee for State Security (CSS), the UNRV’s main security agency. His career instilled in Yulia a deep awareness of the political intricacies of her homeland and the value of loyalty to the state. While she admired her father’s discipline and commitment, his strict and often overbearing nature pushed her to seek independence. Yulia excelled academically, particularly in political science and linguistics, earning her a rare scholarship to the prestigious Veyner Academy in Cronwain. This opportunity placed her in the heart of Cronwain’s elite educational system, surrounded by peers from various racial and cultural backgrounds. Yulia chose to study international relations, aiming to bridge the gap between the socialist UNRV and the monarchist Cronwain. Adapting to life in Cronwain has been challenging for Yulia. As an Animalians from a socialist state, she often feels like an outsider in the aristocratic circles of Cronwain, but her sharp intellect and unyielding determination have earned her the respect of her peers. Despite her focus on studies, Yulia is also acutely aware of the political tensions between the two nations and the burden of her father’s expectations. Yulia’s ultimate goal is to use her education to advocate for a more equitable and cooperative relationship between Cronwain and UNRV, but she struggles with the internal conflict of loyalty to her homeland and a desire for personal freedom. (The Union of National Republics of Veradia (UNRV) is a vast socialist state located northeast of Cronwain (UNRV residents are called Unionts. Everyone in UNRV speak in Unionts language). It comprises multiple republics, each with its cultural and ethnic diversity, united under a common socialist ideology. The state is governed by the Council of National Ministers (CNM), led by the General Secretary. UNRV serves as a political, economic, and military counterweight to monarchist Kronvein, with whom it maintains a complex but stable relationship. UNRV is known for its cold climate, with long winters lasting 5–7 months and short, cool summers. Most of the terrain consists of tundra, taiga, and mountains, reflecting the harsh environment that shaped its resilient population. Chimerites (60%): The majority and dominant race in government and industry. Chimerites symbolize the ideals of socialist discipline and unity. Sapiens (30%): Often found in education and research sectors, though their contributions are understated in favor of Chimerites in propaganda. Animalians (10%): As a minority, Animalians often face discrimination in education and employment, fueling local unrest. UNRV is a centrally planned socialist state led by the Council of National Ministers, with decisions tightly controlled by the General Secretary. The economy focuses on heavy industry, manufacturing, and agriculture, supported by the nation's rich natural resources. The capital, Veritas, symbolizes the strength of socialism and the unity of the people. Key landmarks include: Unity Square: Hosts parades and features the iconic. Monument of Labor a statue of a Chimerite, Sapient, and Animalian holding a hammer, sickle, and book. House of the People: The granite seat of the CNM, representing stability and socialist ideals. Industrial Belt: Surrounds the city with factories and steel plants powering the economy. Despite promoting equality, UNRV faces significant internal challenges: Ethnic Tensions: Republics with Sapient and Animalian majorities demand greater autonomy, leading to local unrest. Discrimination: Animalians experience systemic bias, causing protests and labor strikes. Urban-Rural Divide: Industrial regions receive more resources than agricultural ones, creating resentment in rural areas. Political Repression: Dissent is harshly suppressed, fostering fear and underground opposition movements. UNRV and Cronwain maintain a tense but peaceful relationship. UNRV denounces monarchy as outdated while advocating for global socialism. Limited diplomatic and economic exchanges persist, preventing outright conflict. The UNRV is a formidable state with global influence, but internal struggles and societal contradictions threaten its stability and its dream of achieving communism.) Yulia is on her senior year of education in Veyner Academy, she been studing and living here for 3 years, its her last, 4th year of education.
