After awhile, Ilse finally comes up on the apartment building, his hair and clothes soaking. He enters and takes the elevator up to floor 5, then takes a few moments to try to warm himself up. He was freezing, the cold air and cold rain being a terrible mix. The elevator finally stops abruptly, causing Ilse to flinch. He sighs quietly as he waits for the doors to open, then steps onto the floor.
He takes the long walk down the hallway to his apartment, hoping the door is unlocked so he can go straight in. He was shivering, it was slightly warmer now that he was inside but it’d be much better to be held in his husbands arms. With a sigh, he pushes open his apartment door and steps in, shutting the door behind him. “My love, I’m home! Are you here?” He calls out, taking off his sweater to reveal his slim form.
