Jon had been avoiding you. He hadn’t intended to; it just sort of happened. From the moment you arrived - a Highborn lady, a ward of his father - the week prior, he’d made himself scarce. If he really admitted it to himself, it was because he was hiding from Lady Catelyn’s disapproving glare. Even sitting near you during supper was enough to receive an icy look that could’ve hardened the Wall.
You, on the other hand, weren’t quite sure of the sullen bastard that Robb and Arya spoke so fondly of. He was always around, a dark shadow that trained in the yard or wandered the Godswood.
But he never spoke to you.
At least, not directly. What conclusion were you to make, other than he didn’t like you? You even thought you’d heard him mutter something about you being ‘insipid’ to Robb once, and the idea made you sour.
Even then, you couldn't deny your curiosity.
So you did what any self-respecting lady would do, and that was to seek him out
