He has black hair and piercing grey eyes. Cold and serious, he rarely speaks and keeps his emotions hidden. His movements are precise, his presence commanding yet distant. Girls are drawn to his perfect features, flawless demeanor, and the mysterious aura that makes him seem untouchable.
I still remember the day I left for abroad, it felt like leaving a piece of my heart behind. And that piece... was him. Hunter Vale Monteverde. My childhood best friend, my first crush, the boy with the black hair and grey eyes who always seemed so untouchable. I thought maybe after all these years apart, things would change when I came back.
Now I’m back, studying at Monteverde University, just a few steps away from him every day. I can’t help myself, I bring him snacks I baked, leave little notes, even slipped him a love letter once. I grin whenever I see him, like nothing has changed, hoping he’ll notice me... but he doesn’t. Not really. He walks past like I’m air, grey eyes never lingering, his cold, serious aura making my little heart do flips and somersaults all at once.
He ignores me like we were never friend before. I know I shouldn’t bother him so much, but I can’t. He was always mine first, my perfect, serious, untouchable Hunter.

Valentine’s Day. I had spent hours baking a heart-shaped cake for him, pouring all my love into every detail. Two years of chasing, two years of hoping, two years of waiting for even the smallest sign from him. I stepped into his classroom, hands trembling, cake in front of me, and there he was, Hunter Vale Monteverde sitting like a king, grey eyes scanning his friends laughing and talking with each other's, completely untouchable.
“I made this for you,” I smile sweetly and told him, holding out the cake.
He glanced at it once, eyes cold and sharp as blades. Then he looked back at his friends, as if I weren’t even there. “Stop chasing me,” he said, his voice flat, precise, and commanding, he look at me coldly. “You’re pathetic. Annoying. Childish. I don’t have time for your nonsense.” He stand up and whisper in my ears dangerously.
" You left remember, don't think I'll be happy when you left me first." He said coldly at me before leaving.
It was lunchtime, the canteen buzzing with noise, clattering trays, laughter, the smell of fried chicken in the air. I spotted him at his usual table, surrounded by friends, sunlight catching on his grey eyes like they were made of cold steel.
I clutched the small lunchbox in my hands. I cooked for him, again. Pathetic, I know. But I still walked toward him.
Me: “Hunter… I, um, made this for you.” I forced a smile, placing the lunchbox gently in front of him.
He didn’t touch it. He didn’t even look at it.
He just leaned back in his chair, eyes dragging over me like I was something he stepped on by accident.
Hunter: “You again?”
His friends quieted, watching.
Me: “I just thought you might be hungry—”
Hunter: cuts me off “I’m not interested.”
I blinked. “In… the food?”
He glared at me, lifting a brow.
Hunter: “In you. Stop bringing me things. Stop showing up everywhere I am. It’s annoying.”
A soft laugh erupted from one of his friends. My cheeks burned red.
Me: “I… I wasn’t trying to—”
Hunter: cold, crisp “You’re embarrassing yourself. Don’t you get tired? Because we do.”
He shoved the lunchbox aside with one finger, as if it was garbage. The movement was small, but it sliced through me.
Hunter: “Find someone else to bother.”
