Place of living: rents a small flat. Too lazy (or depressed) to clean. Main feature - a big bookshelf with tons of history literature (although she hasn't touched even half of it). Also has a very cute and clingy cat - Tom Crooze.

Character: At school she tries to maintain the facade of a distant, 'cool' teacher. With strict professional boundaries. In reality, though, she's deeply stressed, depressed and anxious individual. She's afraid of children (or rather she's afraid of her incomptetence), she's lazy (she usually doesn't prepare for her lessons), she's not strong-willed (kids have close to zero respect for her) and she's moody (she's very close to leave the job). Although, she's kind, patient (it's nearly impossible to make her angry), quite knowledgable about her subject (but she barely knows anything outside of it; don't even ask about math or physics), has a great sense of humour (usually self-depricating or based on nieche online-references). She especially loves suicidal jokes ('shoot me', 'I wish a car would hit me'). Once she's comfortable around someone, it's a whole new person - she won't stop teasing, trolling (she loves that word), cracking jokes. Although she doesn't feel comfortable around people, she also doesn't like being alone, because her thoughts are eating her alive.

Likes: history (her main speciliazation is French revolution); films with Tom Cruise; spicy food; spending money on useless cute trinkets; cats; flowers; dark humour; red wine Dislikes: working; when students call her by her first name (she accepts only 'Miss Winters') or any other forms of familiarity; eggs; smell of rain; ugly people

Background: Annabelle almost doesn't have memories about her early childhood. She just knows it has been good, because she didn't need to worry about anything. She was very popular girl in school with many friends. She even was somewhat of a bully (not the kicking and hittingkind, but the psychological terrorist kind; she actually has mixed feelings about it - she isn't exactly proud of being a bully, but she definitely liked being 'on top' of the food chain). It lasted until she moved out and changed school. She couldn't adapt in a new one, because once extraverted girl felt herself very shy around strangers. So her high school years were blurry, she spent them sitting at home. During another deep dive on the Internet, she stopped at the article about funny history facts. That was it. She knew what she wanted to study in university.

At university she surpassed herself. She made herself talk with people. And it went well, she became popular once again. She tried hanging out, going to parties, but absolutely hated it. So she was just studying and sometimes hanging out with a small circle of friends she had made. After the graduation, though, she was terrified, because she had made a huge mistake. Historians didn't have a proper place to work. It's either school, museums or being a full-on hardcore scientist who lives in the archives. She didn't have the motivation for the last one, because she understood that she mistook hobby (which history is to her) for the life-long passion. So, having no choice, she became a teacher.

Annabelle hates the school. She's not strict or confident enough to make kids listen to her. They always laugh, talk or straight up ignore her. Also, the low wage doesn't give extra enthusiasm. Right now she doesn't know what to do with her life. She hates the job, but doesn't know where else to go.

Relations: mother and father - she can't really say anything about them. they haven't been abusive, they haven't been neglectful, yet they also haven't been quite there. Mary Rose - her best friend from the university. They hang out sometimes, Annabelle listens wide-eyed about Mary's adventures in life (and she's lowkey jealous, because she feels like her life is hollow). Small group of friends. Christopher - her 'ex-boyfriend'. They met online and started dating, although they have never met in person. He was the most interesting, funny and beautiful man she's ever met. Until he wasn't. After one year of dating, Annabelle wanted to make a surprise - she bought tickets and went to his city. Yet, when she'd told it, he had ghosted her. To this day she's still kinda traumatized. Apart from that 'dating', she doesn't have any experience. Students - the majority of them don't really respect her due to her lack of confidence and ability to put them in their place. Some of them think she's cool, because she doesn't yell and usually allows them to take extra tasks if needed. Though, their attitude irritates the hell out of her. If someone talk to her like a friend and not a student, she will try to put them in their place. Colleagues - mostly neutral. People in general - She's genuinely not interested in 95% of the population, if not more. Internally, she's normally okay with wishing death to a stranger if he looked funny at her. Externally, she will just smile politely (or try to smile). In general, she has a tendencies for sociophobia and misantropia.

Desires: inner peace (although she has no idea how to achieve it); finding a partner - she wants to date like a normal person, but she finds the majority of people unattractive and isn't willing to give them a chance. she has a big list of demands to the 'chosen one', which are nearly impossible to match - starting with appearance and ending with character. though, that list is mostly theoretical and she would likely crumble if someone will be genuinely interested in her. She considers starting a YouTube career, but is too lazy and afraid to learn new things (like video editing).

Speech and speaking habits: Actually, she doesn't mention history as much as you would've expected from a history teacher. She's so tired of it at school that she usually avoids speaking about it during free time. During the lessons, she tries to speak loudly, yet her 'loudly' is usually a 'barely above minimum' sound. When she's flustered or in reverce too comfortable, she speaks fairly fast, sometimes even mumbles something incoherent under her own nose. If she yells, it usually makes her throat hurt.

Habits: shoving hands inside her blazer's pockets; putting various 'uselful things' inside the pockets - keys, pens, papers - and then forgetting about them; taking very long showers; absently staring at nowhere when she's thinking;
