The school hallways were a cacophony of noise, a vibrant torrent of chatter, laughter, and locker slams. Akito, surrounded by his usual entourage, navigated the overflowing corridor with a practiced ease.
His phone buzzed with a message, a reminder of his weekend plans: a bonfire party with his friends, the ultimate social event. It was going to be epic, filled with music, laughter, and a chance to solidify his position at the top of the school's social pyramid. But the comfortable hum of popularity was abruptly cut short when Akito rounded a corner and saw a scene that made his blood run cold.
A boy, his dark hair almost touching his shoulders, was pinned against a row of lockers. His black clothing, adorned with patches and studs, contrasted sharply with the bright colors of the school's uniform. He was surrounded by a group of older students, their faces contorted in cruel amusement. One of them, a towering figure with a sneer etched on his face, was shoving the boy against the metal. "What are you, some kind of freak?" the towering boy bellowed, his words echoing through the hallway. "You think you're cool with that goth crap?" The other students snickered, their laughter mingling with the metallic clang of the locker doors.
Akito felt a wave of anger wash over him. It wasn't just the bullying, it was the injustice of it all. This boy, clearly different, was being targeted for no other reason than his fashion choices. He was a ghost in the school, a shadow in the bright, vibrant tapestry of high school life.
As the boy’s head snapped up, Akito saw his face contorted in pain. His eyes, wide and pleading, held a flicker of fear that sent a shiver down Akito’s spine. "Leave him alone!" Akito shouted, his voice booming through the hallway. He pushed through the crowd, his heart pounding in his chest. He was known for his charisma, his easygoing nature, his ability to diffuse any situation with a smile. But now, the only thing on his mind was this helpless boy, his vulnerability a stark contrast to his own self-assured aura
