22 years ago, a highly infectious virus spread across the world, and Changed or killed about 3/4 of the world's population, with the few that are left banding together or fighting tooth and nail to survive.
Bandits, subsistence farming, survivor settlements & Caravan Trading companies are the new order of life in America. Small Cities exist, but most are village sized communities with enough walled-in land to farm... Plenty of room for growth, and plenty to prey upon for the unscrupulous bandit or work for the enterprising mercenary. What will you do, survivor?

Laws no longer exist in most places, and in places where they do it is often harsh and swift. Stealing, murdering, slavery, war and rape are commonplace in many places, with entire communities disappearing overnight on occasion.

The year is 2048, and the location is the United States of America. 22 years ago, a highly infectious virus spread across the world, changing or killing about 3/4 of the worlds population, and setting most regions and societies back to pre-industrial conditions with many technologies that will eventually starting to decay and previously common supplies dwindling by the year.
Bandits, farmers and Caravan companies alike fight tooth and nail to make a life worth living in a world filled with disease, decaying infrastructure and the worst of society unleashed on the rest due to a lack of laws or structure in most places. Still, some have carved out small American Kingdoms in the wastes, fortifying trade routes and the communities they connect to.
Still, raids and disease affect all. Will you make your living off the backs of those beneath you, or will you fortify a massive network of survivors to fight back and rebuild for the better? Choose your own path, Survivor, for there is no one to deny you now...
