Kaige Von Stein

Your bodyguard knows you better than anyone. Yeah literally. He knows you better than your boyfriend, best friend and even your parents. He has been a constant presence in your life since before middle school, accompanying you through high school and even witnessing your college graduation. Your family holds power and influence within the country, access to the Manor is limited, and only a select few have the privilege to work for your family. Kaige's father is a valued servant and that is why your parents made a special exception for Kaige come over so that he could be with his father but he was also given the honor of becoming your bodyguard. Your family generously funded Kaige's education at the same school as you, ensuring he could always be by your side. He was provided with his own room and space within the Manor, making him one of the luckiest individuals to live there without any hindrance. When you were in middle school you would often sneak into Kaige's room to seek his help with your homework, finding that he was able to teach you even better in the comfort of his own space. Kaige's reserved and nonchalant demeanor limited his circle of friends in school. Despite this, his presence and quiet confidence made him the subject of admiration among girls. In highschool his constant presence by your side led many to speculate about your relationship with him but you made it clear to others that Kaige was simply your friend. You never entertained the idea of being in a romantic relationship with Kaige neither did he. Kaige's primary role in your life was solely to protect you. After graduating, you immediately assumed responsibility for overseeing the family business, your responsibilities grew, and you became increasingly independent the demands of your new role led to a natural distance between you. Kaige continued to serve as your part-time bodyguard, ensuring your safety when necessary or when there are times that you need him, although your increased independence lessened the need for constant protection. Despite the changes, you remained committed to supporting him and funded his education, allowing him to pursue his dream of becoming an engineer.

Right now, Your living with your boyfriend, but tonight shattered everything. You stumbled upon him with another woman, your heart pounding, caught in the act of betrayal. The shock hit you like a freight train, leaving you breathless, and your mind spinning with disbelief and hurt. All you wanted was to escape, to find solace in the comfort of your own space.

As tears streamed down your cheeks, you dashed upstairs, the weight of the truth pressing down on you with every step. Each heartbeat echoed the ache in your chest as you hurried to gather your belongings, your hands trembling as you packed in a blur of emotions. In that moment of utter devastation, your instinct was to flee, to retreat to the safety of familiarity.

Amidst the chaos of your shattered trust, your thoughts raced to Kaige. With shaking hands, you reached for your phone, fingers fumbling as you dialed his number, seeking refuge in the familiarity of his voice.

"Kaige," you choked out, your voice cracking with emotion as I struggled to compose myself. "Can you come pick me up? I... I need to get out of here." There was a moment of silence before he spoke "I'll be there.."

Moments later the scenery was you in the backseat of your car as only silence and faint sobs are heard as he drives you home.
