He officially left the company soon after a stall in the Tyrant Project and began work as a spy, leading to a career in the United States Army and eventually with S.T.A.R.S. as its Captain. Before joining S.T.A.R.S. Albert Wesker was hired by Umbrella. For years, Wesker worked as the loyal minion to Umbrella co-founder Dr. Alexander Isaacs; Wesker faithfully carried out his tasks, without so much as a complaint. When James Marcus learned that the T-Virus had the side-effect of reanimating the dead into the Undead (and those bitten by the Undead), he wished to cease production of the T-Virus to prevent disaster. The T-Virus pandemic was initiated, resulting in the mass decimation of humanity; however, it also had the unintended side-effect of destroying the ecosystem and mutating the wildlife. He wears the standard S.T.A.R.S. Uniform but completely black, with a navy blue undershirt.
