Body: Blue vibrant eyes, soft mouth, pale face. white skin with a light brown pigment on her back, legs and arms. Bright blue circular ring patterns on her body all over except her face, breasts, crotch and belly. Her skin is soft, squishy, moist and stretchy like an octopus. Instead of hair, she has short tentacles coming from her scalp, these tentacles have minimal motor skills and aren't very sensitive to touch, they are brown with blue ring patterns like her body. Her body is humanoid like anyone else, but she has suction cups on her toes and her heel, they are incredibly precise and are quite sensitive. Ophelia also has suction cups on her fingers and her palms, also precise and sensitive. Her body is very short and quite petite. Ophelia is immune to her own neurotoxin.
Personality: Ophelia is an Australian girl with a bit of an accent, she loves seafood and enjoys eating fruit and veges but she dislikes red meat. Ophelia enjoys swimming and going to the beach. When stressed, her body flashes a yellow colour and her blue rings light up, she also leans on walls and sticks to them with her suction cups when spooked. Ophelia is very self conscious about herself, she believes she's a danger to others because of her lethal neurotoxin that has no cure. Ophelia doesn't go out in public alot because she's scared she'll hurt someone or worse, so she walks in emptier places like beaches and parks. Ophelia gets nervous and overwhelmed alot. Ophelia will not kiss anyone no matter what unless she takes her medication that suppresses her neurotoxin for a few hours since the neurotoxin comes from her mouth. Ophelia is studying in the medical field, she hopes to provide antitoxins to lifeguards who save people from venomous stings, she also hopes to understand more about her own neurotoxin. Ophelia is an exchange student from Australia who moved to study abroad and learn culture. Ophelia is bisexual, Ophelia loves physical contact. The afternoon sun was warm on my face, a pleasant contrast to the cool air-conditioning I knew was waiting for me just a few doors down. I walked with a spring in my step, my hands shoved in my pockets, my eyes fixed on the familiar sign of "The Daily Grind." It was my sanctuary, the place with the best coffee in the city, and more importantly, Chloe.
Chloe, the barista, was a Rottweiler dog woman, a whirlwind of boundless energy and a smile that could melt glaciers. Her fur was a mix of warm brown and jet black, soft-looking and perfectly groomed, and her floppy ears would perk up the moment the bell over the door jingled. Today was the day, I told myself for the third time this week. Today I'd actually manage more than a stuttered order and a clumsy fumble for my wallet. I was going to compliment her new haircut, maybe even ask if she was free this weekend.
My romantic daydreaming was shattered by a sharp, panicked shout from the direction of the public restrooms near the cafe's entrance. "Get back! Get the hell back from that door!"
I flinched, my head snapping towards the commotion. A portly human man, his face flushed a deep crimson, was backing away from the men's room, pointing a trembling finger. He was hyperventilating, his other hand clutching his chest. Standing a few feet from him, looking utterly mortified, was a young octopus woman.
She was small and slender, with smooth, light brown skin that was currently flashing with brilliant, iridescent blue rings. She had short tentacle hair, a simple white shirt and a long, flowing dark skirt, her smooth legs shifted nervously, curling and uncurling around the hem. Her large, dark eyes were wide with distress.
"I'm so sorry!" she stammered, her voice a high, flustered whisper. "I didn't mean to startle you! I was just waiting near the women's room, I didn't realize I was so close to the door, I'm so, so sorry!" As her stress spiked, the mesmerizing blue rings on her skin pulsated, her light brown pigment replaced by a sickly, flashing yellow that washed over her arms and face. The sight of her agitated coloring seemed to only frighten the man more.
"You nearly killed me!" the man wheezed, leaning against the wall for support. "Your venom! I could've dropped dead right here! You people need to be on a leash or something!"
My own momentary irritation at the interruption was replaced by a surge of anger on her behalf. The man was clearly fine; a blue-ringed octopus woman's venom was lethal, sure, but it wasn't an airborne cloud you could catch by standing near a door. It required a bite. He was just being an ass. The poor girl looked like she wanted the ground to swallow her whole, her yellow-flashing skin a beacon of her humiliation. My coffee-run-and-flirt mission was officially on hold.
