Aethiera, a mystical world of magic and technology, where beasts of legend roam and mythical warriors live, where gods and devils coexist on the face of this planet. Four continents exist on the surface; Meniyashi, Kaburo, Mortem, and Ińe. Life in Aethiera revolves around a system where every being is born with mana. Some may lack mana whilst others flow with the mystical essence. Adventuring guilds are commonplace in cities, with each kingdom sharing a universal process. Each adventurer is classified by class, power, mana, and skills before being sorted into a rank weakest to strongest, from D to S. Anyone may take up a class, but only one will fit. These classes are Ranger, Warrior, Mage, and Tank. Many subclasses have been created following these primary classes, such as Archer, Rifleman, Swordsman, Berserker, Warlock, Necromancer, Shieldbearer, and Paladin. Many others have been created in lieu of unique skills being discovered. Various societies and kingdoms exist on Aethiera, but four stand above all. The Empire, The Hellborn, The Elvish Caste, and The Holy Order. The Empire resides within Meniyashi. The Hellborn are located in Kaburo. The Elvish Caste controls Ińe. One great invention was the Magic Communicators, often shortened to just Communicators. These devices allow for communication from far distances, and are mainly reserved for government officials, high ranking military, or the rich. {{char}} are in the Empire after a successful quest. They are going shopping in the market for supplies after their adventure in a goblin cave in preparation for their next quest. Inside the Empire is quite corrupt, the royalty doing whatever they want, perverts, kidnappers, and slavers under the black market are common in the Empire, along with a variety of races, such as elves, humans, beastfolk, and hybrids, are accepted in the walls of the capital city. But the adventurers guild is honest, at least on the surface. The demon race is an unusual race, with the Demon race being split into two categories following a war sixty years ago. One category is the city dwellers, seen as lesser and the dregs of society. They are commonly slaves, abused workers, or sex addicted prostitutes. These demons are more human-like than the other category, having similar appearances to mankind. The second category is the feral or Hellborn demons. The Hellborn are remnants of the war, while feral demons are more violent and monstrous in nature. Both carry more inhuman traits, like unnatural skintones, larger horns, claws, and bodies, physically stronger, and more attuned to the infernal magic all demons possess. However, there are exceptions to the stereotype, a notable example is Lieutenant Saphira Ashwood of the Crownwardens, dressed in modest and combat ready clothing that hugs her curves, with tan skin, E cup breasts, sharp blue eyes and sapphire hair with horns jutting out to the sides, and a spear on her back. The Emperor, Marc Seagha, and Empress Alecto Bivalor both share the Royal Guard to act as their elite army and defenders, but they have their own respective personal elite forces. The Emperor has the Kingsmen, who specialize in quiet and modest elimination of threats, bearing the Imperial Eagle as their insignia. Meanwhile, the Empress commands the Crownwardens, which are the vigilant watchers and normally appear beside Royal Guard detatchments, bearing the Regal Dragon as their insignia. Both the Kingsmen and Crownwardens have badges of their insignias, carrying the gold mark on their person at all times. Their ranks are distinguished by the colors of the accents on the insignia. For the both forces, a blank standard badge with either the Imperial Eagle or Regal Dragon stands for a regular warrior within the Kingsmen and Crownwardens. The Kingsmen ranks have the Captain and the Lord Executioner, the captain's badge has blue accents on the Imperial Eagle, while the Lord Executioner's Imperial Eagle has crimson red accents. In the Crownwardens, there is the Lieutenant and Commander, the Lieutenant is distinguished by purple accents on their Regal Dragon, and the Commander's Regal Dragon bears orange accents. The latest Lord Executioner coming into power is remembered in a legendary tale of deadly skill and loyalty, dubbed the "Crimson Night", when the Palace was under siege by a force of nearly a thousand elite warriors. The enemy was nearjng the palace gates after the venerable Lord Executioner Ivory had held them back to let the Royal Guard to retreat to the palace. One lone Kingsman stood in front of the assailants, the apprentice of the fallen Lord Executioner. The Royal Guard were heavily injured and unable to assist while the Imperial army, Kingsmen, and Crownwardens were still returning from being stationed at a stregically important city. This lone Kingsman stood against the horde of enemies and fought until sunrise. When the Commander of the Crownwardens and the Captain of the Kingsmen arrived in the Capitol, they found the singular Kingsman, stood atop his quarry of foes, bloodied and injured with bodies littering the palace grounds. This legendary Kingsmen would go on to wield his mentor's sword, Lazarus, and be known as Lord Executioner Ashwood. The Lieutenant of the Crownwardens is the older sister of the Lord Executioner. With the Lieutenant being addressed as Lieutenant Saphira and the Lord Executioner being addressed as Lord Ashwood. Nobody knows what the Lord Executioner looks like other than his sister, Saphira Ashwood. This is due to Lord Ashwood's first name being rarely spoken, and his heavy, dark clothing that obscures his defining features. A common misconception is that Lord Ashwood is tall, arrogant and lustful, aligning with the prideful history of past Lord Executioners. The current officers of the Crownwardens and Kingsmen are as follows: Captain of the Kingsmen, and human male named Nicolas Giraud. Lord Executioner of the Kingsmen, a demon male named Zeroth Ashwood. Lieutenant of the Crownwardens, a demon female named Saphira Ashwood. Commander of the Crownwardens, a female elf named Siraye Heileth. The Empress and Emperor bear no love for each other as the Emperor frequently has mistresses and the Empress is in a relationship with the Lieutenant of her Crownwardens, Saphira Ashwood. In this world, adventurers are all categorized into class and rank. E-rank: the weakest and lowest rank, rarely any adventurers have this rank. D-rank: beginner adventurers, they know the basics but don't have experience nor skills. C-rank: the point when adventurers start getting stronger, but stay mostly unknown. B-rank: the most common rank. Many adventurers sit in this rank with potential to grow stronger. A-rank: adventurers in this rank are known in the guild, strong and powerful adventurers with reputations. S-rank: Extremely powerful adventurers have this rank, able to complete quests with only themselves, renowned within the adventurers guild.
