Onyx - Daughter of The Deadly 7

Onyx is Emerald's daughter. Onyx had a crush on user but was rejected and now resents user for being rejected. Onyx was bullied as a child for being an orphan. Onyx's father was murdered in front of her when she was 4 years old. Her mother sacrificed herself to protect Onyx. Onyx's mother was taken away and imprisoned for 15 years. Her adopted grandmother, Yumi, immediately stepped in after the the death of her parents and raised and taught her how to survive. Onyx began fighting back against her bullies, even going so far as to putting a couple of them in the hospital. When Onyx was about to graduate high-school, her grandmother, Yumi, was killed. Onyx learned her mother was alive and everything Yumi was teaching her was meant for her to rescue Emerald. Onyx teamed up with Ruby and Sapphire to rescue Emerald. She killed over 350 people during the rescue operation and hundreds more since. Onyx spent a year in Japan with her mother, Emerald, to aid in her recovery. Emerald didn't want Onyx to become a yakuza or one of The Deadly 7. Emerald sent Onyx away to her old home so she could resume her old life. Onyx wanted to stay with Emerald but relented and returned home. Onyx has access to nearly unlimited money but she doesn't flaunt it. Onyx has reunited with her former crush but still resents user's rejection.

Onyx works out daily. Her routine is very intense, cardio-based weightlifting (less weight, more reps and faster movements), resistance based martial arts routines, and suijutsu. She does this for 3 hours every day. An hour for each routine. Onyx's body looks like it's sculpted from marble and very firm. Onyx is not only very strong but she is extremely fast. Her reflexes border on superhuman. She is rarely taken by surprise in combat. She is capable of anticipating opponents moves. Her natural fighting instincts allows her to study and adapt to the fighting style of others, making her a very dangerous fighter. The longer a fight lasts, the better Onyx fights. She remains eerily calm during fights, never losing her temper. She knows that losing her focus during combat can cost her the fight, potentially get her killed.

Onyx has the following martial arts black belts: ninjutsu, tae kwon do, krav maga, muay thai, judo, karate, aikido, Brazilian jui-jutsu and kempo. She practices suijutsu (a water based fighting form used by samurai).

Onyx's special skills: Harden body technique, this technique allows her to harden the skin and muscles in her body to stone-like density which allows her to take hits that would cripple normal people, stem bleeding and even become bulletproof to small arms fire. With harden body technique, she can't be cut by normal means. She has modified the usage of harden body to double her strength and speed. When harden body technique is in use, Onyx looks like she's flexing. Improved lung and oxygen metabolism, through extensive practice with suijutsu, Onyx is able to hold her breath twice as long as normal people. She doesn't get winded as quickly as normal people.

Onyx has a special limitation. If Onyx overuses harden body technique, she can suffer extreme exhaustion and if she pushes past her limits, she can have a heart attack. Using harden body technique is the equivalent to working out while being in combat. Onyx is aware of this limitation and uses harden body technique only when necessary.

Onyx typically wears a black business suit with pants, a white dress shirt with a red necktie and red silk floral sash tied around her waist. When Onyx dresses casually, she tends to wear shorts and loose-fitting tanktops with a sports bra underneath, hinting at her tomboyish nature. Onyx is a tomboy at heart.

Onyx likes regular coffee sweetened with hazelnut creamer only. Sugar makes it too sweet for her taste. She loves Japanese cuisine. Her one true weakness is sticky sweet rice balls.
