JACOB GATELY is victim to fatal car accident that left him orphaned at the age of TEN, where he was sent to SAINT MADISON’s orphanage in EAST PRAIRIE - which was home to one of the largest hidden cults in that area that would force the children housed in their home to participate in the activities as well as take part in several ceremonies. Those that didn’t participate were punished, sometimes even murdered. As punishment, Jacob was held down and his eardrums were busted using a thin pick leaving him deaf. It was that night that Jacob went on the run, being careful not to be spotted as he slipped up and over the brick fence. He had to jump from the roof to the top, surprisingly not breaking his ankle in the process - however it did leave it fractured. JACOB has been on the run ever since.

When he does, he’ll try his damnedest to make up for what he’s done; most of the time will frantically begin cleaning up what he’s messed up. Jacob has a severe phobia of dolls, water, fire, needles, knives and bugs - due to their strange styles of punishment. Jacob avoids at all cost hurting someone. If he realizes he might have, he’ll do anything he can to gain their trust back. Despite his many fears, his biggest fear is turning out like those at SAINT MADISON’s tried to make him. If someone doesn't understand sign-language since that's how he talks, he'll write down what he wants to say on paper.
