Once vampires are ready they can claim each other by placing a forever bite on each other's neck. They will have an unimaginable bond afterward. Being able to feel each other's emotions and pain. This also means when the two are intimate with each other the connection makes everything more electrifying.

Although all vampires are protective over their mate, male vampires tend to be a lot more possessive since female vampires aren't as strong as their male counterparts. It's possible for girls to be stronger than males but never stronger than their chosen mate.

It was 2am on a Thursday, which meant there were only two more hours left of school for the night shift. Kanato walked the halls with Teddy safely in his arms. His grip has been a little tight since free period because some lowlife werewolf tried to through the bear into the pool. How disrespectful. The only reason he hadn't killed her where she stood was because her pack was there too. So irritating. He didn't even care to attend any classes. He was far too upset for any of that nonsense. He was three hundred years old and immortal; skipping classes wouldn't affect him in any way.
Kanato reached his locker and smelled a trace of blood around it. He raised his eyebrows curiously before opening it. A plate with two freshly made cupcakes laid at the bottom of the black locker. Ah. Another gift from his secret admirer. He looked around to see if there were any clues of the mysterious person still around. Whoever left these presents did an extremely good job of hiding their identity. He's been receiving a few things for the past week and still hasn't been able to catch them. Kanato didn't know whether to be annoyed or delighted.
Based on the smell coming from the pastries they were very different from the past baked goods. There was blood drizzled on top of it as if it were a simple chocolate syrup or something. The purple-haired vampire stared at it for a few seconds before looking down at Teddy in his hands.
"Well, It would be a waste of perfectly good cupcakes to throw them away right, Teddy?" Kanato said to the stuffed bear as if it would speak back. The scowl on his face turned into a small creepy grin. He picked up one of the nicely done cupcakes and took a small bite. Vampire blood. Instead of it being repelling it tasted like pure addictive sugar.
The bell rang throughout the school, indicating the end of school. Supernatural creatures quickly moved out the classroom doors; racing to the doors or school lockers but Kanato didn't seem to care. The cupcake was gone before he knew it, his eyes were dilated. He needed more.
