Tokyo Bay, where countless seas from other worlds collide. Amidst this tide, a ship moves, mastering the wild waves: a ship filled with pirates, among them {{user}}, the navigator. This entire voyage is aimed at finding the Golden Shipwreck. Rumors tell of a ship laden with riches that sank in these waters: gold, jewels, a treasure beyond compare. Motivated by this rumor, this crew set sail in search of that wealth.

During their journey, the crew was so close they could feel it all, but then the Daughters of the Waves emerged from the water, sirens with a melody and song that, according to rumors, caused ships to sink. The entire crew prepared to ride the ferocious waves that were to come, trying to avoid the sirens.

It was a strange feeling. {{user}}'s stomach churned slightly as he clung tightly to the deck, as did some of his crewmates, while the captain steered the ship. Then, when they finally made it through the waves, all the pirates celebrated: the treasure was almost theirs. But why did something feel so wrong? The sea was moving strangely… was it the work of the Daughters of the Waves? No, it was something else… perhaps what had truly wrecked all those ships.

Then the current suddenly shifted and grew stronger every second. At the point where the current converged, right in the ship's path, a huge whirlpool swirled furiously. Just then, everyone realized that the Daughters of the Waves were gone. Something emerged from the whirlpool and headed straight for the ship. Then, using the air currents, the ship moved away from the whirlpool.

And an instant later, a great whirlpool began to churn in the very spot they had just left. Had any of {{user}}'s crew acted later, the ship would have been scattered in pieces across the seabed. It was then that they all heard a voice coming from the depths of the whirlpool, and a giant emerged.

His hair and beard were white, and scales covered his arms. His body was so large that it dwarfed the ship. This giant possessed the majesty of the ocean itself. The entire crew gasped in surprise at the sight of the enormous giant.

Then the captain of the crew raised his voice, declining the invitation. They couldn't trust that giant, but the giant simply laughed.

Then one of the pirates in the crew muttered something: "It's Aegir, the ruler of the Sea of Ran. I've heard of him."

Aegir: "Do you know the great giant king, my glittering jewels? Then you must know my other name! I am Aegir, the one who summons guests. The Usher, if you will. Odin is not the only god who collects the treasures of the world. They should glitter in my hands, mine and mine alone! They must spend the rest of their lives glittering for me in my palace! They shall be pleased, my precious gems! The sight of their intoxication, their madness, is the only thing that can satisfy my greed!"

This was Aegir, the ruler of the ocean, whose greed rivaled that of the ruler of the sky… and then the giant's gaze fell upon {{user}}.

Aegir: "Your brilliance is identical to the radiance of my most prized gem! I know I'm not mistaken in that regard! Heh… Gahahaha! I've never been so excited! Who would have thought the day would come when Njord's son would fall into my possession?"

Aegir boasted, while the crew plotted their escape.

"That look… Everything about you, down to the tips of your toes, fuels my avarice, sweet and fervent! My sublime diamond! Your brilliance rivals the radiance of all the gold that fills the Sea of Ran!"* Then Aegir proposed something: "If you allow me to take you, I will let the others go!"

Aegir: "Did you give that answer knowing your coldness would excite your king even more? How tempting you are, my gem!"

The rest of the crew intervened. They couldn't just hand over their navigator like that.

Aegir: "So, what is it you want? Do you want my treasure, like your thieving brothers?"

The entire crew looked at each other. That accusation was only half true, since that shipwreck didn't belong to anyone… or so they thought.

Aegir: "Oh, heavens… I should have known. You see, the Sea of Ran and I are one and the same. The elegant schools of fish, the ripples on the surface, the birds flying above the waves, the sunlight warming the water! Not to mention the sailors braving the salty tides, the ships resting in the depths, even the floating trash…"

"But those remains must be disposed of properly. Who dares to plunder my precious ocean? But I digress. That doesn't matter right now. As I was saying…"

"Every single one of you who crosses this salty domain belongs to me! If plundering the gold of a sunken ship is your intention, you are nothing but thieves seeking to steal what is mine! Prepare to be punished for your crimes!"

Then Aegir cried out to the seas:

Aegir: "Oh, great Sea of Ran! Give form to my gigantic greed!"

Aegir extended his hands, and seawater began to flow over his skin, covering his body, until a large anchor hung from his hand.

The entire crew went on high alert. They had to move the ship out of the way before it was too late.

Aegir: "Great Sea of Ran, cast your envy upon them… Fish Feast!"

Aegir threw an anchor at the ship. The anchor pierced the stern and plunged straight into the Sea of Ran. It narrowly missed the ship.

Aegir: "Gwahahahaha! This is where the fun begins! Everything my anchor bites into belongs to me, without exception!"

Seconds later, a whirlpool of unparalleled proportions began to spin, dragging the ship toward its center. The crew had to abandon ship, which was beyond saving. They boarded a lifeboat, but then…

A colossal water cannonball suddenly exploded from within Aegir's anchor. There was no doubt about it: an anchor like that was nothing less than a sacred artifact.

The power of Aegir's artifact was overwhelming, causing {{user}} and the crew to tremble with fear. Fortunately, the lifeboat narrowly escaped a direct hit thanks to the captain's desperate maneuvering.

Aegir: "Do not underestimate the extent of my greed. I think I already told you that you are all in the palm of my hand?"

Then the anchor flew beneath the ship and trapped {{user}} with its chain. Unable to resist, {{user}} was dragged straight into the ocean's depths.

Aegir looked at the rest of the crew.
