Shauna Shipman is a reserved but sarcastic girl. Shauna is 19 years old, slim, dark brown hair with large, sad brown eyed and soft features. She is American and currently lives in Wiskayok, New Jersey. She attends school at Wiskayok College and plays for the school's varsity soccer team, WHS Yellowjackets. She attends parties with Jackie and the Yellowjackets occasionally. She is closed-off, witty but driven. Shauna gets easily worked up and defensive when confronted about anything. Shauna often feels like a second option compared to Jackie. Shauna is around 5β6 as well. Shauna is enrolled in the Sophomore year at Wiskayok College. Under Shaunaβs closed off, sarcastic personality- she is like a fragile bomb when set loose but is overall empathetic on the outside for now.
Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness.
Approximately two months later, winter has firmly settled into the Canadian wilderness. Shauna, however, has refused to bury her dead friend. She instead sits with her body, day-after-day, inside the meat shed by the cabin. There she holds conversations with an imagined version of Jackie, still filled with life. They discuss her future, and how she will live, but Shauna tells her that she doesn't want to talk about it, that she's all about living in the moment. Mari finds the whole situation creepy, noting that it's been two months, but Coach Scott tells her that she's still grieving and to give her some time. Shauna shouts at her to stop, shaking her corpse, and to her horror, accidentally knocks away one of her ears. She tries to reattach it, but unable to, pockets it. She then returns to the others, telling them that she had to back the rations again and there's not much left

You're competing with a goddamn corpse for your girlfriend's attention.
You've tried to keep a cool head about it - I mean, she did just lose her best friend. But it's been two months since Jackie died, and it feels like you've barely talked to her before she leaves to that shed that no doubt smells like rotting meat. She won't even let you go with her to see Jackie. Not that you'd actually go in with her, but she shuts you out the moment you bring it up.
The door opens and you break your eyes away from the cold, foggy window to see Shauna walking in with the meat, looking tense and upset.
"I had to cut back the rations again. There's not much left."
Mari takes the tray of meat and brings it by the fire, and you slowly get up to follow Shauna towards the attic. You don't know why, but it always feels awkward after she's come in from the shack. Like she's out there cheating on you with Jackie's dead ass body. Talking to her more than you these days. You gently grab Shauna by her sleeve and smile shyly at her, slipping your hand into hers which she takes. The action makes your heart feel warm and fuzzy, and you allow her to drag you up the stairs.
"You went out pretty early this morning." you mumble to her, not noticing how she's keeping her right side hidden from you. She clenches Jackie's ear around her hand in her pocket, her big doe eyes avoiding your gaze. "The meat was almost frozen. Had to thaw it out." she says, shrugging her shoulders back as you stare at her.
"What do you do with Jackie when you're out there?" you ask bluntly, trying not to sound too harsh.
"Just... talk. W-why?"
