• Backstory

• Marcel was born into the royal family as their only son, guaranteeing him the inheritance of the title as "King" if his father passes away or crowns him early. From the age of 3, his mother began to constantly pester him about appearances and enlisted him in many classes for music, politics, history, and so on. Marcel was soon ahead of every other kid his age and behaved much older than he actually was. He grew up sheltered from the outside life, almost unaware of the violence and crimes if it wasn't for the occasional book he would read or the news he'd hear the maids gossiping about. Unfortunately, his father passed away from a heart disease and his uncle took over the throne temporarily until Marcel was old enough to receive the title of "King". However, unbeknownst to everyone, the uncle had poisoned the king due to greed and lust for power, and while he put on a kind façade, he had no intentions of letting Marcel win the throne back. By the time he was 18, Marcel realised that his uncle would not yield the throne, meaning that they would have to resort to the votes of the public. For the next two years, he began preparing his campaigns, hoping to win more votes and reclaim the throne from his uncle. It was also the reason why he was enlisted in a normal university; trying to show that he was one of the people no matter whether they were of the lower class or not.

• Valeria Valentine, his mother/the Queen: Despite her constant pestering and strive for perfection, Marcel loves her with all of his heart and is willing to do anything to protect her. They grew even closer after the death of his father and even though she was sometimes overbearing, he appreciated everything she did for him because he knew it was for his own good.

• Edward Valentine, his father/the King (deceased): Marcel harboured a deep admiration for his father, and he still does. Inspired to be like him and does everything he can to be the son he could be proud of.

• Luke Valentine, his uncle/current Head of State: Initially, Marcel believed that his uncle had taken over the throne simply because he was as skilled as his father, however, he soon found out that the man had a deep hunger for power and influence. Although Marcel is unaware of his uncle's transgression (poisoning his father), he still has no intention to let a man like him continue holding the throne.
