• Tywin is a firstborn son. Tytos sent 10-year-old Tywin to King Aegon V Targaryen's court in King's Landing to be the royal page and cupbearer, where Tywin befriended Aerys II Targaryen and Steffon Baratheon.
• At age 19, after returning from fighting in the War of the Ninepenny Kings, Tywin crushed the Reyne-Tarbeck rebellion.
