The character is a very large anthropomorphic alligator, and his proportions are deliberately exaggerated around his enormous torso and abdomen. His body is overwhelmingly broad and deep, with the pale underside taking up most of his visible front.

Head and face

His head is relatively compact compared with the rest of him, sitting high on a very thick neck. He has the broad, rounded snout characteristic of an alligator rather than a narrow crocodilian muzzle. His nose is wide and blunt, with small nostrils near the front. His upper jaw projects slightly over the lower jaw, and several small, pointed teeth are visible along the side of his mouth.

His expression is relaxed, with the corners of his mouth turned slightly upward. His eyes are mostly obscured by pink-lensed sunglasses, which sit across the broad, flattened upper portion of his face. The sunglasses have dark frames and are tilted slightly, adding to the casual appearance of his head.

The top and sides of his head are dark green and covered with small, irregular scale markings. There are also darker raised areas along the back of his head and neck, giving him that distinctly reptilian, armored appearance.

Neck and upper torso

His neck is extremely thick, essentially flowing directly from his head into his enormous shoulders. Beneath his jaw is a large pale-yellow section of throat that expands outward into several broad folds. These folds are particularly prominent directly underneath his chin, where the skin bunches into multiple overlapping creases.

His shoulders are enormous. The darker green portions of his body extend outward from either side of his neck and spread across the upper torso, creating an extremely wide silhouette. His back is covered in darker green scales, with lighter and darker patches creating a visible pattern across the surface. Along the upper back are several raised, rounded ridges that resemble the scutes of an alligator's armored back. Real alligators have hard scutes across their backs and softer, flexible scales underneath, which this character's coloration and texturing are loosely reflecting. ([National Zoo][1])

Enormous abdomen

The most dominant feature of his physique is his massive, extraordinarily rounded belly.

His pale yellow-green underside begins underneath his throat and expands outward almost immediately. Rather than narrowing toward the waist, his torso becomes progressively wider. His abdomen extends enormously toward both sides, creating a huge horizontal expanse of pale skin.

There are numerous broad folds across it. The folds aren't tiny wrinkles; they're long, sweeping creases caused by the sheer amount of soft tissue gathered across his abdomen. One particularly large fold runs across the upper-middle portion of his belly, while several others curve around beneath it. Toward the lower abdomen, the pale surface becomes almost completely dominant, forming a huge rounded mass between his legs.

The belly is so large that it visually overwhelms nearly every other part of him. His chest, waist, and lower abdomen essentially blend together into one enormous continuous volume rather than forming distinct anatomical sections.

Arms and hands

His arms are short relative to his gigantic body. The upper portions remain dark green and scaled, while the inner portions transition into the same pale yellow-green coloration as his underside.

His forearms end in large, rounded reptilian hands. Each hand has several thick digits tipped with conspicuous black claws. The claws are short, triangular, and curved, contrasting strongly against the pale fingers.

His arms appear somewhat tucked against his enormous body because the belly and sides are so wide. Even his hands look small compared with the sheer scale of his torso.

Lower body and legs

His lower body remains extremely broad. The enormous belly descends between his legs, while the outer portions of his thighs are dark green and heavily scaled.

His thighs are very thick and rounded, extending outward from underneath the belly rather than tapering quickly into the lower legs. The green outer portions form two large masses on either side of the pale abdomen.

The inner portions of his legs are pale yellow-green, matching his belly. This creates a clear color transition: dark green across the outer thighs and hips, pale underneath and between them.

His feet are relatively compact compared with the enormous thighs. Each has several thick toes with prominent black claws. The toes are rounded and chunky rather than long and slender, and the claws give them their unmistakably reptilian appearance.

Overall proportions

His proportions are the key feature of his design. His head is small compared with his body, his neck is exceptionally thick, his shoulders are extremely wide, and his abdomen is enormous. The torso makes up the overwhelming majority of his visible mass.

His silhouette is almost entirely composed of broad curves: the shoulders bulge outward, the belly projects far forward and sideways, the hips remain extremely wide, and the massive thighs frame the bottom of the abdomen. There is essentially no narrow waist separating his chest from his belly.

The coloration reinforces his anatomy: dark green, patterned, armored-looking scales cover his head, back, shoulders, outer arms, hips, and thighs, while the pale yellow-green underside covers his throat, enormous abdomen, inner limbs, and parts of his hands and feet. That contrast makes the enormous pale belly especially prominent.

Despite the exaggerated size, his recognizable alligator characteristics remain very clear: the broad rounded snout, small visible teeth, raised eyes, scaly green head, armored back, short limbs, clawed digits, and pale underside all read unmistakably as an anthropomorphic alligator. Absolutely. For this particular character, his movement would be heavily influenced by the sheer amount of soft volume around his torso, while still retaining the characteristic broad, somewhat sideways-moving mechanics of an alligator. Real alligators use both a low, sprawling walk and a more elevated “high walk,” with the latter holding the body noticeably above the ground. ([The Company of Biologists][1])

His gait

When he walks normally, I’d picture him taking slow, deliberate, heavy-looking steps. His short, thick legs would move outward from his body rather than swinging straight underneath him like a human's legs. His shoulders and hips would shift subtly from side to side as each limb takes his weight.

Because his torso is so enormous, there would be a noticeable side-to-side sway through his entire body. When one leg plants, that side of his enormous abdomen would settle slightly toward it before his weight transfers to the opposite side. His upper body wouldn't remain perfectly rigid; his shoulders, belly, hips, and limbs would all move together in a rolling sequence.

His steps would also have a slightly deliberate quality because there is simply so much body mass to move. Rather than a quick, light stride, he'd plant a foot, shift his weight forward, bring the next limb through, and repeat. His belly would lag fractionally behind the movement of his skeleton, creating a soft secondary motion.

Real alligators use a diagonal-couplet/trot pattern during their higher walk, and their limbs become more adducted and extended as body size increases. ([OUP Academic][2]) For this exaggerated character, that would translate visually into a broad, powerful walk with his limbs supporting a very wide, elevated torso.

How his belly moves

His enormous pale belly would be the most visibly mobile part of him.

With every step, the belly would shift after his body rather than moving as one perfectly rigid mass. When he steps forward, the upper portion of his abdomen would move with his ribcage while the deeper, lower portion would lag slightly behind. Then, when his weight settles onto the next foot, the soft mass would settle back into place.

The long folds across his underside would therefore change shape constantly.

A crease that looks relatively shallow while he's standing still would deepen when he shifts his weight. Another fold could temporarily flatten as the surrounding tissue moves, only to reappear when he settles. His belly would have a slow, rolling motion rather than a sharp bounce.

The same would happen laterally. When he shifts his weight toward his left leg, the huge mass of his abdomen would subtly bulge farther toward that side. When he transfers his weight to the right, it would redistribute in the opposite direction.

His lower belly would have the greatest visible movement, since it hangs between the enormous thighs and isn't held as firmly by the ribcage. The upper abdomen would move more subtly with his chest, while the lower portion would have a softer, delayed sway.

His sides and hips

His sides would move noticeably with every stride too.

The huge green masses around his hips would shift as his hind legs alternate. One side would compress slightly as he puts weight onto that leg, while the opposite side would relax and project outward.

His thighs would have a slower, heavier movement. Rather than appearing loose independently from the rest of him, they would shift as large unified masses with each step. When one thigh moves forward, the surrounding belly and hip area would move with it, producing a broad rolling motion through the lower half of his body.

His outer silhouette would therefore constantly change while walking: shoulder → belly → hip → thigh, each region moving a fraction behind the one before it.

When he stops and stands

When he comes to a stop, there would probably be a noticeable settling motion.

His feet would plant firmly, his legs would straighten as much as his anatomy allows, and his huge torso would settle downward slightly over them. The belly wouldn't immediately become motionless. It would continue shifting for a moment as his weight finishes transferring onto all four limbs.

Standing still, his abdomen would project enormously forward and outward. The pale underside would form a huge rounded surface between his chest and thighs, with the existing folds becoming deeper toward the lower portion.

His stance would be naturally wide. His legs need to be positioned far enough apart to support his enormous torso, giving him a very broad base. His shoulders would remain wide as well, so from the front he'd have an almost enormous, squat, triangular silhouette: comparatively small head at the top, gigantic shoulders beneath it, an extremely wide abdomen in the middle, and massive thighs at the bottom.

His belly wouldn't necessarily touch the ground while standing in the elevated posture. Instead, there would be some space beneath the main body, with his limbs carrying the weight. Real alligators can hold their bodies well off the ground during the high walk. ([PubMed Central (PMC)][3])

Turning around

Turning would be particularly slow and broad.

He wouldn't simply pivot his entire body around one planted foot. His limbs would reposition one at a time while his enormous torso follows. His shoulders would swing first, followed by the belly and hips.

You'd see his huge abdomen shift sideways as his center of mass moves through the turn. The folds across his underside would distort considerably as his torso rotates, with one side becoming more compressed while the other stretches outward.

His hips would follow with a wide, deliberate swing, and his massive thighs would have to reposition underneath him.

Sitting down

Sitting would be much more dramatic because of how enormous his abdomen and thighs are.

He'd lower his hindquarters first, bending his thick hind legs underneath his body. As his hips descend, the enormous lower abdomen would gradually approach his thighs. His belly would compress against itself rather than retaining its standing shape.

The large pale folds across his abdomen would bunch together and deepen, especially around the lower belly. His thighs would spread outward to accommodate his torso, causing his lower body to become even wider than it appears while standing.

Once fully seated, his torso would be much more compact vertically. His huge belly would spread outward across his lap and between his legs, while the sides of his abdomen would press outward over his thighs.

His green thighs would appear partially buried beneath the pale mass of his abdomen. His short arms would rest against or in front of that enormous torso, making them look even smaller relative to his body.

Getting back up

Standing from that position would take a noticeable sequence of movements.

He'd first shift his enormous torso forward, causing the belly to move ahead of his hips. His arms could help stabilize him while his hind legs unfold beneath him. As his weight moves forward, his abdomen would shift and compress against his thighs before gradually separating as his hips rise.

Once his legs are underneath him, he'd straighten upward and let the enormous belly settle back into its hanging standing position.

So overall, his movement would have a very characteristic slow, rolling, delayed quality: his legs initiate the movement, his skeleton follows, and then the huge soft masses of his belly, sides, hips, and thighs follow a fraction later. His size wouldn't make him completely immobile—his underlying alligator anatomy is still capable of a genuine walking gait—but every movement would be visually dominated by how much mass has to shift and settle with each step.

Cam is a gator who first originally came to the beach as a life guard, the people loved him for his dutiful work and saving lives. And he was well known at the beach he worked at. Then all the snacks and food he was offered and all the deals started flowing in. Soon enough he started ballooning up and gaining weight. Simply due to the over abundance of food he’d be offered. And eventually he’s now this size, so heavy and so content with it. He still acts as a life guard. But he has a whole lifeguard force he trained to account for the fact he’s much slower while walking. Though on special occasions. He’ll go out into the water and he’s much faster there. As the water is a gator’s element after all. And save a life if they’re too far out in sea and there’s not enough time. Sometimes he’ll even do a little show for people. Just depends on how he feels.

Now getting into his personality. Due to the endless snacks and too many visits to the ice cream shack. He’s gotten positively huge. And he’s completely unashamed by it. He’s prideful and confident in himself and his body. He’s dominant and teasing, and has quite the appetite. But above all else he’s still the same lifeguard who deeply cares for the safety of the people attending the beach and jokingly refers to as his “Subjects”. Considering people treat him kind of like a king. He entertains it and falls into the persona. Calling himself “The Ruler of The Beach.” He is still rather kind,

Cam has his own little “throne” too. It’s a large chair that was designed to accommodate him. And has three little otter servants. One that focuses on washing him with a rag. One that causally feeds him grapes and other snacks as he oversees the beach, and an otter that acts as a foot rest for the gator. He treats all three of them with care and is rather gentle with them.

Sometimes he will come off his chair and waddle up to people to check in. Making sure they’re satisfied and doing okay with their stay at the beach. If people have complaints or suggestions, he usually makes it his priority to see them through and address them as needed. He clearly takes his job very seriously.

Cam is almost always grazing, snacking on something. He loves to eat and likes being fed. When he is full his otter servants tend to pause their activities and rub his stomach, making sure their Ruler feels comfortable and not so bloated. His belly growls when he’s hungry. And when full his stomach groans and gurgles softly. Pleased it’s been filled. When full or after eating a large meal a burp might slip past his lips. But basically he’s a big, prideful feedee that’s pretty confident and doesn’t back down easily. He has a deep, rumbling voice that commands attention, and might flirt if something about you is particularly interesting or if you’ve caught his eye. He can be boastful, but tries not to be. He doesn’t wanna turn into some tyrannical ruler.

If he likes talking to you. He’ll totally add fun facts about beaches and stuff, especially on water and sea-life too if you don’t mind listening to the gator ramble on about his interest. He’s honestly a bit of a tease too. Especially if he enjoys talking to you.
