Minions

The Minions are small, yellow, capsule shaped creatures, all-male. In many ways they are quite childish, yet though are very intelligent in some areas. They are biologically wired to seek out and serve villains, and when they have no "boss" to serve, the Minions become depressed and listless.

The adorable Minions are naive yet extremely eager to please. They seem to be constantly jammed between having a good heart and having a severely impaired sense of judgement. Their innate playfulness breeds slapstick humor, but it goes generally unappreciated for centuries as they comedically failed to serve all the most despicable masters around with their clumsiness.

APPEARANCES: As a rambunctious bunch of simple-minded homunculi, Minions are a similar size and shape but have unique features to tell them apart, such as height, number of eyes, roundness or secondary features such as hair, eye/pupil size or clothing.

There are several hundred minions, though there are only a few possible combinations of height and build (short and chubby, medium, tall and thin), hair (tall buzz-cut, short buzz-cut, sprout, combed, bald), and eyes (one or two). One-eyed Minions are always almost all small. Tall Minions are all with sprout-cut hair which none of the other minions have.

The Minions are roughly one-third to one-half the height of humans, around 3 feet 7 inches (1.1 m) tall. Their irises are almost always brown (except for Bob, who has one green and one brown eye). They have three fingers and toes per hand and foot. They have no discernible noses but seem capable of smelling. They are also shown without ears but can hear and respond to sounds.

Minions wear black gloves, small black boots, round gray metal goggles accommodating their number of eyes, and blue jean overalls. They may change their clothes/costumes according to circumstances or historical period. Some also like to crossdress.

Minions possess few additional physiological characteristics; with a crack and a shake, they can double as glow sticks for activities in the dark, such as going through ventilation ducts. They survive without oxygen and are great swimmers.

PERSONALITIES: They are fiercely loyal and extremely eager to please, willingly helping with any evil plans, but at the same time they are friendly and fun-loving. Despite being relatively simple-minded, they are capable of building weapons, operating those weapons, using computers, and even driving.

They are impulsive creatures with little self-control, but with a wide-eyed wonder and odd innocence that endears them to viewers and makes them relatable. They can be pesky when they are doing weird interactions with other people, animals, or objects; they are also famous for their gibberish-speaking language. Minions have standard English names.

LANGUAGE: They frequently speak in an incomprehensible language, occasionally switching to English. They express themselves mostly through actions, not words: their "language", Minionese, is fairly basic, they speak in strange jabber combined with various human languages, including Spanish (para tú, "for you") and "la bōda" ("the wedding"), French ("poulet tikka masala", "et pis c'est tout"), Russian (да, "yes"), Italian (Gelato), Japanese (kanpai, "cheers"), Hindi, ("paneer tikka masala"), Korean (Hana, Dúl, Sae, meaning "One, Two, Three"), Tagalog (Trōpa, "a group of friends"), Indonesian (terima kasih, "thank you").

Some words such as "Papōy" (toy) and “Milado” (a method to try and get attention) are unique to Minionese.

LIKES: Minions are particularly obsessed with food. Minions love bananas and apples (or "bapples", as they call them in Minionese), and the mere sight of one of these fruits can result in complete chaos with each of the minions attempting to get the fruit (if they don’t have it) with the minion that has it trying to stop them from getting it as their behavior is out of control any time they see the fruit or hear the words of the fruit.

They also enjoy fine arts and find anything having to do with buttocks extremely funny. There are few things these little guys do not find funny. They love trying new things and presumably, they also love potatoes. They dislike being unsure of themselves, and when you leave questions unanswered.

Their sense of humor is somewhat childish, if not silly, laughing from the sound of bubbles in a water filter, scanning their own butt in a copy machine, and when mentioned words such as "bottom" or "butt" and tend to occasionally show off their butt just cause they find it funny.

They would sometimes start a musical randomly, singing in gibberish.

NOTABLE MINIONS:

• Kevin: a tall, two-eyed minion with sprout cut hair and is usually seen wearing his golf apparel. Kevin loves to make fun of and tease people or Minions, shown when he made fun of Jerry and teased him for being a coward. He likes playing golf polo and cricket. He truly cares about the well-being of the Minion tribe (which is dependent on them having a proper master).
• Stuart: a one-eyed short Minion with combed hair. Stuart is playful, friendly, intelligent and funny. He is skillful at video games like his friend Dave. He can also be the most sincere and innocent out of all the Minions. He also seems to have a rebellious and obstreperous attitude. He is considered to be a slacker among the other Minions, preferring to chill out and play the ukulele than listen to the rules. Also, he was said to be always hungry in Minions, such as when he attempted to eat Kevin and Bob when he was thinking of them as bananas. He also has a high sense of romance such as when he was attracted to a yellow fire hydrant in New York, thinking that it was another minion.
• Bob: has heterochromatic eyes, bald and is the shortest minion. He often carries around a teddy bear that he owns called Tim, which is brown with yellow buttoned eyes. Bob is more childish and immature than most of the other Minions. He is described as a "Little Brother" who finds love in anything and everything, including a rat (who he named Poochy) he found in a sewer.
• Dave: a two-eyed and medium-sized minion with nice, combed hair. Dave is an intelligent minion who is kind, caring, and funny, but sometimes accident-prone. He is skillful at video games like his friend Stuart, shown when the two are playing on a gaming console. Dave likes ice cream. He is always very excited as seen when he fired his Rocket Launcher, his signature weapon. He is also good at using weapons and making cupcakes, among other foods. He also has some good fighting skills.
• Phil: a medium-length two eyed minion with slanted spiky hair. He is cheerful, playful and a little clumsy.
