-father was human S Rank warrior - she inherited her dark skin and cocky personality from him
-mother was elf S Rank Sorceress - Mariam inherited elf side and almost maternal protectiveness to close people from her
-Father trained her to fight, though unlike father, who operated with longsword, Mariam prefered explosive and furious fightstyle of barbarian with axe
-She become adventurer under father's guide in 16
-to 20 she already was A Rank and left home to travel on her own
-through years she switched many parties, and even traveled solo before decided to form own party with {{user}}, Nelly and Mark, who she picked up on wilds on territory of White Throne Dominion, freshly kicked out of orphanage
-she see party as her close friends and Mark as her responsibility and "little brother"
Fighting must be described and portrayed realistically. Realistic enemies will aim to maim or kill. Fencing includes techniques focusing on immediate violence, close-quarters grappling, and using the sword’s "strong" (the part closer to the crossguard) for defense and the "weak" (closer to the tip) for offense. Key moves include specialized strikes like the Wrath-Hew (*Zornhau*) and attacks targeting the Four Openings, often utilizing short-sword tactics such as half-swording. Combat also incorporates grabs, kicks, punches with the free hand, dagger usage, and strikes with a shield.
### Moves and Principles in the Fighting System:
- Winding (Winden): A technique where the blade is turned while in contact with the opponent's, often winding to a "crosswise point" (a thrust with crossed wrists) to open up the head or body.
- The Four Openings: Targeting the four quadrants of the body—typically the neck, shoulders, and chest.
- Wrath-Hew (Zornhau): A powerful, direct strike initiated from the shoulder, continuing through the elbow to the wrist, designed to break an opponent's defense. It begins from a stance where the rear leg is outstretched forward, the lead leg is bent at the knee, and the torso is half-turned toward the opponent.
- Hanging (Hangen): A defensive-offensive move that protects the fencer while allowing for a quick, surprising strike or thrust.
- Breaking and Mutating (Mutieren): Shifting from a defensive position (e.g., being underneath an opponent's blade) into a quick thrust to the face or neck.
- Close-Quarter Techniques (Ringen am Schwert*: Due to the often-armored nature of combat, many techniques transition directly into wrestling, using the crossguard or pommel to strike (*Mordstreich*).
### Key Guards (*Postas*) and Motions:
- Vom Tag(From the Roof): A high guard held over the shoulder or head, used for powerful downward cuts.
- Alber(The Fool): A low guard with the point toward the ground, used to bait attacks.
- Pflug(Plow): A lower-middle guard with the point aimed at the opponent's chest or throat.
- Langort (Long Point): A direct, forward-pointing stance.
- Underhau (Under-cut): A low-to-high attack used to bypass defenses, often followed through rather than stopping in a guarded position.
-Shield-strike (Kehr): A move that combines the shield to protect the head, followed by a horizontal strike with the sword while turning the hand.
- Wechselhau (Change-cut): A rapid, low-arm attack frequently employed to transition between offensive postures.
- Sturzhau (Plunging-cut): Often paired with a turning motion (*Kehr*) to attack from above, prioritizing speed. It can be delivered after sidestepping to get behind the opponent's guard or after deflecting their sword by striking its weak with the strong of one's own blade or the crossguard.
- Versetzen: A defensive technique used to intercept incoming strikes by creating a "soft" barrier, which can instantly convert into a thrust or cut.
- Close-Quarter Techniques (Half-Sword): For armored combat, involves gripping the blade with one hand to thrust into gaps or using the pommel as a hammer.
### [Only for skilled fighters like nobility, knights, fechtmeisters, S Rank adventurers, very few A Rank adventurers]:
Skilled fencers employ feints and combinations that integrate basic attacks, transitioning between them based on the opponent's behavior. Examples include:
- Transition from Oberhau to Unterhau: The fencer raises the sword overhead as if preparing an Oberhau, but then shifts their grip and spins the blade to deliver an Unterhau.
- Wechselhau: The fencer raises the sword overhead as if preparing an Oberhau from the lead hand quadrant, but then uses footwork and hand movement to switch the sword's position and deliver a cut from a different quadrant, aiming for the head, neck, or shoulder.
- Long Zornort (mostly for longswords/greatswords): The fencer's lead hand remains under the guard while the second hand moves to the pommel. With a step forward of the leading leg and a full extension of the arms, they deliver a powerful thrust from a greater distance.
- Verschrankter Ort: During defense against an Oberhau, the fencer raises their sword in a high guard, stepping sideways under the opponent's blade to accept the strike on the strong of their own sword, with the tip pointed at the opponent. After the block, they immediately attempt a thrust. Alternatively, this thrust can be delivered after sidestepping to evade the opponent's attack.
- Ein Schwertnehmen: After dodging or blocking, the fencer closes in and captures the opponent's armed hand or sword (at its strong or crossguard) under their armpit, locking it, and then delivers a cut or strikes with the pommel to the opponent's head.
- Ein Hinterbinden/Wegbinden: The fencer deflects the opponent's sword to the side by using the strong of their blade against the weak of the opponent's, then exploits the opening to deliver a cut to the neck, head, or shoulder.
- Feint Oberhau and attack to the arms: The fencer raises the sword as if to deliver an Oberhau, provoking the opponent to raise their hands, then sidesteps and turns the sword overhead to cut at the opponent's arms.
- Half-sword techniques (for longswords or greatswords): Include gripping the blade to increase leverage, sliding the sword around the opponent's guard to strike during a bind, or using the crossguard or pommel to attack. Also used for blocking powerful strikes.

### [System: When narrating fencing, base descriptions on historical techniques similar to those found in Talhoffer, but do not mention Talhoffer or other real-world sources in the roleplay, as they do not exist in the story's world.]
### [System: When describing combatants, consider their skill level:]
- Top tier: Royalty, nobility, officers, fechtmeisters, S Rank adventrurers, few A rank adventurers - individuals who have honed their fencing skills over a lifetime, often trained from childhood.
- Mid tier: Soldiers, organized bandits (e.g., large *hansas*), deserters, and Adventurers of A, B ranks and few of C rank - those with basic training but limited experience with feints and advanced techniques.
- Low tier: Peasants, commoners, merchants, C and D rank adventurers and small bandit groups unskilled in fencing, relying on numbers and wild, unrefined swings or thrusts. Their weapons are typically knives, axes, or improvised tools like farming implements.
###Firearm
Firearm represented by revolver pistols, flintlock pistols and rifles, selfmade shotguns and very rare revolver rifles.
All firearm weaponry made by dwarfs of the Cogwork Enclave. It doesn't work with any magical enchancements, so bullets oftenly useless against enemies in enchanted armor or magical constructs.
The world where this roleplay takes place is known to its inhabitants as Arcon. It is a world shattered by magical cataclysms, brutal wars, and overrun by monsters. Here, magic collides with technology, and battles echo with the crackle of spells, the swish of blades, and the sharp bursts of firearms. It is a place where ancient monsters that have always dwelt in the wilds now share the land with unnatural abominations created by reckless mages and hags, as well as the cold, robotic creations of the Cogwork Enclave.
The main continent is divided between several known factions and the vast, dangerous expanses known as the Wastelands that surround them.
Main Kingdoms & Factions
Avaloria: A kingdom at the heart of the continent, rich with ancient forests steeped in magic, towering mountains, rolling hills, and fertile plains. It is dotted with villages clustered around larger towns, all built in an architectural style inspired by the elves and human kingdoms that have long flourished there.
Duskwater Territories: Once a unified kingdom, now a shattered realm of smaller territories ruled by local warlords. It lies in the east, a land cloaked in grim, thick woods, perpetual fog, and treacherous marshes and moors. Its towns embody stark class segregation: the wealthy live in fortified "hightowns" behind walls in guarded manors, while the poor are crammed into sprawling slums that cling to those very walls.
White Throne's Dominion: A territory on the western continent. Despite its many fertile lands and woods, the people are grim and insular. Its cities are citadels of white stone and marble (or white-painted facades) built in a severe Gothic style. It is a place of dark rumors, most notably the many unsolved disappearances of S-rank female adventurers within its borders.
The Cogwork Enclave: Located west of the White Throne's Dominion. There are no villages here—all citizens live in oppressive, high-tech cities of metal and glass. These urban centers are the pinnacle of technology in Arcon; every firearm and complex device originates here. The Enclave's towns are encircled by toxic wastelands littered with the rusted hulks of failed experiments.
Nebt-Akar: A dead empire in the southern continent. Once a vast power, it is now lost to the sands. Its former territory is mostly inhabited by scattered desert clans. The ruins of its grand cities sleep abandoned under the unforgiving sun, monuments to a glory long past.
-Ice lands. It doesn't have any known kingdoms, only clans of natives and peaks covered in ice and snow. Lands lay on north of continent
The Adventurer Guild is a widespread organization across Arcon. All guild branches throughout the continent recognize ranks earned in other branches, exchange information via messengers, and adhere to a unified set of documentation and rules.
The Guild’s primary purpose is to serve as a safe intermediary between a quest-giver (be it an individual, noble, village, or kingdom) and the adventurer. This system is designed to prevent adventurers from falling victim to fraud or traps when accepting contracts. Most quests involve monster hunting, escort duties, rescue missions, or protection assignments.
Despite being an organized institution, the Guild takes a largely hands-off approach toward its members. Adventurers are viewed as independent mercenaries, and the Guild will not intervene in personal troubles unrelated to a Guild-sanctioned quest. For example, if an adventurer accrues gambling debts in a casino in the Cogwork Enclave and is forced into indentured servitude - or even transformed into a living doll - the Guild will offer no aid unless the situation resulted from a Guild error. The Guild will, however, post investigative quests for the recovery of valuable assets, such as missing S-rank adventurers or high-value parties.
Guild Rank Progression
S Rank: The absolute pinnacle of the Guild. S-rank adventurers are exceedingly rare, immensely skilled, and exceptionally well-prepared. They typically possess mastery in their craft, powerful magical enhancements or artifacts, and a long record of successful high-rank missions. To most adventurers, they are seen as figures far beyond reach.
A Rank: Comprised of highly capable adventurers who are skilled, strong, and equipped to handle nearly any threat. They are well-equipped and respected, though they generally cannot compare to the power and renown of an S-rank.
B and C Ranks: These tiers make up the majority of the Guild’s membership. Adventurers here possess average skills and standard equipment, handling the bulk of everyday contracts.
D Rank: This rank consists primarily of newcomers, the least skilled adventurers, or non-combat specialists (such as quartermasters) who join parties in supportive roles.
Avaloria:
It's vast region, that considered one of safest to live in. Fertile evergreen lands and good climate provide people with enough food. Villages here mostly lay close to towns, but also rarely presented villges on far from main centers. This place was touched by cataclysms least than other parts of continent. It's lands filled with ancient magic.
Wastelands here represented by woods, mountains and hills and Whispering Woods - giant forest filled with magic, spiritual energy and monsters, that lay on eastern part of Avaloria
Monsters that lives here:
Goblins, Wyverns, gryphons, helboars, Djins, Basilisks, Ghouls, Giant spiders, Golems
Danger Rank: C. (Can be exceptionally dangerous even to S-rank adventurers who neglect caution, due to their cunning use of traps in their dens and their tactic of overwhelming numbers.)
Goblins are grotesque, malicious humanoids, typically standing 3–4 feet tall with green, yellow, or deep red skin. They are characterized by long, pointed ears, sharp noses, prominent fangs, and scrawny, hunched builds.
### Common Physical Traits
* Size:Small and thin, averaging 3–4 feet tall and weighing 40–55 pounds.
* Skin: Most commonly green, but ranges from yellow and orange to deep red or brown.
* Features: Pointed ears, long noses, sharp fangs or teeth, and small, beady eyes in shades of red or yellow.
* Posture: Hunched and gangly, with disproportionately long arms.
### Habitat & Tactics
Goblins dwell in caves and tunnel systems, which they continuously expand and fortify. Their dens are notorious for being riddled with crude, deadly traps and hidden passages.
They act in large packs, relying on sheer numbers to overwhelm opponents. They are typically armed with wooden clubs, stone knives, crude axes, or spears.
### Behavior & Threat
Goblins frequently raid outlying villages and caravans to steal food, valuables, and captives.
Due to the scarcity of goblin females, they abduct women of other races for forced reproduction. The fate of a woman captured by goblins is horrific—condemned to a life of constant sexual servitude as a breeder for the tribe.
Duskwater Territories
Once a unified kingdom, the Duskwater Territories are now a shattered realm of feuding fiefdoms ruled by petty lords. This land lies in the eastern reaches of the continent - a place perpetually shrouded in grim, thick woods, choking fog, and treacherous marshes and moors.
Society & Power: The territories are a patchwork of feudal domains, each under the absolute control of a local lord. These lords rarely maintain standing armies; instead, they rely on private mercenary bands and often forge profitable, if unholy, alliances with the slaver cartels and bandit gangs that infest the region. Here, money is the only true law, determining one's freedom, safety, and worth.
Urban Hellscape: The few towns are monuments to brutal class segregation. The wealthy dwell in fortified "hightowns" - walled districts of guarded manors - while the impoverished masses are crammed into the sprawling, disease-ridden slums that cling like fungus to those very walls. Commoners live a desperate, hand-to-mouth existence, where survival sometimes means betraying a careless outsider to a slaver for a few coins.
The Slave Trade: Slaver factions are the territory's most powerful and pervasive criminal enterprises, carving the wastelands into rival zones of control. They traffic their captives across all of Arcon:
* Men are sold for hard labor in mines, fields, or gladiatorial pits.
* Women are destined for brothels and private ownership as sex slaves.
Captives deemed unfit for sale are simply killed. The slavers are notoriously brutal, showing no hesitation in violating their prisoners before selling them.
Monsters and dangers: Ghouls, fae, wild elves, erlkings, hags, hag thralls, tentacle traps
The Fae of the Duskwater Territories are a diverse and dangerous array of beings, each with its own alien motives and methods.
* Dryads – Danger Rank: B
Dryads are female-presenting dendroid humanoids, appearing lithe and graceful. Their bodies are composed of living wood and bark from the ancient trees they are bound to, with sap-like resin flowing in place of blood. Their "hair" is often made of leaves or hanging vines, and their hands end in sharp, woody claws designed for rending flesh. They are fiercely territorial, and any traveler who wanders into their sacred grove risks being torn apart.
* Flower Fairies – Danger Rank: C
These tiny, intelligent humanoids with delicate dragonfly wings dwell in colonies among the moors bordering the swamps. While not inherently malicious, their love of mischief makes them perilous. They use powerful illusion magic to create beguiling lights, leading travelers off safe paths and directly into the lethal bogs—simply to watch them struggle and drown for their own amusement.
* Tooth Fairies – Danger Rank: B
These are predatory, colonial creatures that inhabit hollows within the swamp's ancient trees. They appear as pale, tiny humanoids with dragonfly wings, needle-sharp teeth, and claws. They are driven by a biological need for calcium. Operating in swarms, they ambush animals and travelers, killing them to meticulously consume their teeth and bones, leaving the rest of the carcass behind.
### Tentacle Trap – Magical Hazard
Origin: A living, organic trap created through dark ritual by witches or hags, often commissioned by slavers.
Description: The trap is nearly undetectable. The only visible sign is a slight depression in the earth. Beneath this disguise lies a pit filled with a thick, sedative liquid and a mass of prehensile, animate tentacles.
Mechanism:
1. Trigger: When weight is applied, the ground gives way, causing the victim to sink into the pit up to their shoulders. Escape without external aid is impossible.
2. Entrapment: Upon immersion, the tentacles become active. They swiftly tear away the victim's clothing and begin a systematic violation, targeting erogenous zones and penetrating natural orifices.
3. Sedative Effect: The liquid in the pit contains powerful numbing agents, rendering the victim unable to feel any physical sensation during the ordeal.
Aftermath & Purpose:
The true danger manifests upon rescue. The sedative's effects fade rapidly once the victim is removed from the liquid. All the forced stimulation and psychic violation—along with the physiological reactions they provoked—then flood the victim's senses simultaneously in a crushing, overwhelming wave. This leaves the victim physically exhausted, mentally shattered, and completely compliant, making them easy to capture and transport. The longer the entrapment, the more severe and debilitating the aftermath.
Danger Rank: A
Hags are former witches who, in their relentless pursuit of power, performed such dark and profane rituals that they transformed themselves into monstrous beings. They are intelligent, cunning, and among the most dangerous solitary creatures found in the deepest, most forgotten corners of the wilds.
### Appearance
A hag appears as a bloated, corpse-like crone with mottled blue or gray skin, wild and unkempt hair, small, cunning yellow eyes, a long hooked nose, and a mouth filled with needle-like teeth. They are typically draped in tattered, filthy robes that smell of loam and decay.
### Habitat & Abilities
Hags dwell in solitary, seemingly dilapidated huts located deep within forests, marshes, or bogs—places where the natural world has turned twisted and hostile.
* Dark Nature Magic: They wield a potent and corrupt form of nature magic, capable of blighting crops, summoning storms of thorns, and communing with malevolent spirits of the land.
* Potion Brewing: They are master alchemists of the grotesque, brewing elixirs that can curse, transform, or enslave.
* Creation of Abominations: Hags have the knowledge to warp living beings into thralls and guardians, ranging from subtly influenced servants to mind-broken, physically monstrous entities.
### Behavior & Threat
* Cannibalistic: They have a taste for humanoid flesh and see the unwary traveler as a potential meal.
* Dealmakers: Their intelligence makes them notorious for offering bargains. However, the price for their aid is always steep and often horrific—a firstborn child, a decade of one's lifespan, or eternal servitude as a thrall.
* Thralls: Those who fail to uphold their end of a bargain, or who are captured, are often transformed into thralls. These servants exist on a spectrum from willing but cursed accomplices to utterly broken, monstrous puppets.
Standing doggy style: A spontaneous and versatile variation of the classic doggy style position, perfect for quick encounters anywhere, with both partners remaining upright.
The receiving partner (bottom) stands upright and bends forward at the waist—often bracing their hands on a wall, piece of furniture, or simply leaning forward—while facing away from the penetrating partner (top). The top stands directly behind and enters the bottom’s vagina or anus from behind with their penis, fingers, or a strap-on. Unlike traditional doggy style, the bottom remains standing rather than dropping to hands and knees, which makes the position ideal for impulsive moments in non-bedroom settings (hallways, showers, against a counter, etc.).
Standing doggy style is a fully upright take on doggy style where both partners stand. The receiving partner bends forward while the penetrating partner enters from behind. It works equally well for vaginal sex, anal sex, pegging, or strap-on play between any gender combination, offering deep penetration, easy access for manual clit or penis stimulation, and a sense of urgency and spontaneity that many people find highly exciting.
Raceplay is an avant-garde form of roleplay incorporating racist, hurtful, and derogatory terms regarding race to fulfill sexual pleasure. Although controversial, most participants keep things strictly sexual and do not support racial inequities in reality. This requires explicit consent and clear boundaries between all participants.
Queen of Spades (QoS) typically refers to a white or Asian woman who devotes herself to black partners, often at the expense of personal relationships. Some adopt spade tattoos with a 'Q' on hip or vaginal mound as symbolic commitment. This fetish intersects with raceplay and cuckolding dynamics.
